Beaver
Any one know of a place that will polish alloy wheels in Wellington? Cheers
KKtrips
These guys used to be called Valley Platers and they polished my T-bucket wheels a few haircuts ago and did a sterling job. http://www.zincandchrome.co.nz/

Beaver
Ive done a set by hand before and they came up pretty good, just takes a while. Turns out the wheels are coated so il need to strip/sand them down to bare alloy to get a decent shine on them.
Steelies
chemical strip them before you start sanding, you may be able to get away with strip and polish? sanding to improve finish has always ended up a can of worms and RSI for me. Goat
Let me know once you find out the best way to get them stripped. And also where to get them polished... Edit: Chemical strippers? IE paint stippers?

Steelies
powder coaters like the dudes on port rd seaview have mega stripping baths, i had to use them to remove powdercoat off a bike frame before chroming. standard paint stripper may not take that stuff off.
