Yeah just cleaning it ddnt work, its still doing it quite bad. Im going to pop into my local workshop and see if the boys in there can cheak the timing for me as I dnt have a timing gun. Does anyone know what the timing should be set at for the 1G-EU?. Do u think my problem could be the Throttle Sensor thingy aswell..? It seems to stop doing it abit when I push off and on the throttle...

Ryanfels - Yeah sweet bro mean thanks, thats good to know!. Will deffenitly hit ya up if the boys at the garage tell me that it could be any of them causing the problem. Cheers man

Went in an seen the boys at Motor Doctors Jville, The timing is like 20 degress so we tryed it at about 10 and it ran like a sack of shit, so he put it up past 20 degres now, Is kinda running alil better but still doing it. So have gone to see some other guys at an auto electric shop and the guy there seems to think its not running on all cylinders but yeah I duno.. but anyway Im guna book it in at the auto electric shop for the problem to get diagnosed properly(with a scaner thingy). Hopefully they can sus it out for me. Ahhhh dramas!!! Found a fuckn crack in my radiator today aswell so guna need to find another one of them too lol.

Box/Port same diff. But yeah ur correct. They'l plug a scanner thing into it and it just blinks a certain amount of times and gives a code. And that code should lead me to the right place!. I havnt booked it in yet, i want to cheak to see if its arcing 1st, because of those standard leads. I'll cheak that tonight when its dark enough.

Need someone who is real onto it to come have a look and take for a drive for me. Cuz it is actually driving quite better since he advanced the timing even more.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hey guys been awhile since I posted last, but have brought some new plugs, dizzy cap and rotor, and new fuel filter.

put them all in and is running alot better.. Buuuut!!! It is still doing the same thing(on the low key). Got told from someone that it may have something todo th 'lambart sensor' witch is one of the sensors off the catalytic converter, so I checked the sensor and followed it all the way back to the connection and found that the wire was open and frayed really bad with some other random as fuck wire wraped around it (dodgee as fuck looking, witch i runs back to this Home job oxygen sensor inside the car). SO I disconected that shit and tidyed it all up, And u gess fuckng what? It ddnt miss a beat!!! Pretty stoked about it.

But when I got home I just had another look in the engine bay and noticed that I hadn't connected the Air flow sensor back up nor another lil tube that goes into the intake pipe. But still hasnt done it again. so mission may be acomplished boys.!!! :D will let yous know if it starts doing it again.

Cracked it.! Running percy as.

Stoked as fuck! Cheers for all the help and ideas.! Too bad it took me this long to find it. What iv learnt frm this is - cheak over the eletrical system first; Look for broken and frayed wires, things not connected, etc etc. Anything that dosnt look factory I guess.

Cheers budas! hopefully see you rolling this summer 8)

PEACE!

Yeah thats the one, He told me it plays a part with the fuel injection system. So had a look at it and found that the wire was dodgee so just tidyd it up and wrapd some insullation tape around it. And it hasnt missed abeat since. Pretty glad I finally found it the problem.! :)
