NZford
Hi there, Last week I brought a mk4 cortina now my insurance company has let me put an agreed value on it for 2 weeks and in that time I have to take it somewhere to be valued so I can continue to insure it at that rate. Now the question, where in Christchurch (Canterbury in general) area would be the best place to go and get a value? I carn't see Avon City Ford been too interested Any help would be great no doubt a few others have had to do this with OS cars. Thanks Will

RUNAMUCK
Talk to Swann insurance. They do quite good deals for old cars, and don't bicker about saying it's old, so it's worthless.
NZford
I would give Enford a ring perhaps.. Thanks I had never heard of them, if not for valuation they may come in handy oneday. Talk to Swann insurance. They do quite good deals for old cars, and don't bicker about saying it's old, so it's worthless. To be honest I'm quite happy with the service AMI is offering me, since it is my second vehicle and of a classic nature its only going to cost around half to insure of my daily driver they just need a valuation as they will not insure a car over 25 years old for more than $2500 without one, which seems fair. Just found these guys..... http://www.classiccarfair.com/ and they in chch, deffinately worth a ring tomorrow I think.
durty
Its only a mk4 cortina, $2500 sounds about right?
kyteler
Its only a mk4 cortina, $2500 sounds about right? Yeah, couldn't be far from that. For some reason I had read MkII and figured it made sense to try get an agreed valuation, also understand why the Ford dealership is unlikely to give a hoot now. kyteler
That's probably fair, for insurance purposes. Shouldn't be hard to get that from a valuer.
