ta63-1uzze
Hey guys, am plumbing up my steering, and I have run into a bit of trouble. When i bought it all i didn’t get to remove it from the car.( carina ta63 3tgte . ) So i am unsure what ports are what. And because I am not running a factory engine I can’t figure out how it may have been plumbed. I need to know what port on the rack is the high pressure in (from the pump) And what port on the rack is the low pressure out (to the cooler). There is one port on the head of the rack that is pointing towards the firewall , and one that is pointing to the side of the chassis, if that is of any help to identify them. sheepers
if one takes a bigger thread diameter fitting then thats the feed. usually the return has a smaller thread on the fitting. if not then maybe google some images of the car it came out of? sounds stupid but its worked for me in the past. Simon
If you connect them wrong you won't so any damage. It might squirt oil into places it shouldn't but I can't imagine is destroying anything.
ta63-1uzze
am scouring over goolge at present, found many pictures but nothing that I can make out what hose is what all i have is stubs of pipe i don’t even have a running car yet , i am just trying to fit out everything, cause the exhaust is next but i need to plumb up the steering so i know how much room i have around the knuckle and hoses. Guess I should stop being lazy and just strip it down.
