low_mk2_escort Posted July 11, 2012 Share Posted July 11, 2012 ok heres the issue have a mk2 escort with a 2ltr in it it has had one of those magnetic pointless setups put in it . it winds over really slowly in the mornings and usualy needs roll starting where it will then run fine and be able to be turned off and started instantly so question is is the starter not winding it over fast enough or is the fuel pump shot runs nicely and good as gold till its left over night and requires starting in the morning the batterys a rather large new one 530 cold cranking amps have tried cleaning out carb with no fixed result seems to fire up ok with that engine start spray any input would be great cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
