Its slowly gotten worse the last 4 or 5 times i drove it and now i cant even get into any gear. any help is appreciated cheers
Escorto.
Its a Hydraulic clutch, and it probably has a leak. One of the cylinders will most likely be stuffed. most probably the slaves orings have gone. If its that they are a cheap part to replace. mikuni
I assume these are hydraulic clutch? First thing would be to check the fluid level and probably top it up because it's low. Next is find where it's leaking from (probably slave cylinder on gearbox) and replace. edit: beaten like a boss
Seedy Al
Easy way to check if its the master is you will probabaly see weeping on the inside of the firewall. And on the Slave cylinder, just pull back the rubber dust boot and should see fluid leaking out of there.
Jase
also if it has an adjustable pushrod from the servo to the clutch fork make sure its extended out enough or you'll get the same symptom, if its getting worse points to leak tho.
Escorto.
they aren't adjustable, but good call. They're only adjustable at the pedal. Check slave for leak. Yes? punk_a_saurus
Cheers for the help. Will that slave fit a 4wd gbox? And also is it easy to get to?
DJZ
Should be easy to get to if you look under the car, I think you'll prob need this one though: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/gearboxes/auction-459911459.htm
