Starlet brake booster

Cheers Snoozin. I think I'll grab the one from the guy in Nelson as I can pick it up and it has a master cylinder; but if that falls through I'll grab your one.

Are they a direct fit to a Starlet that didn't originally have one? Do you think there is much benifit to installing one?

To be honest I've never come across a KP with unboosted brakes - I'll go through my brochures and stuff later but I'm 99% sure they should all have come with boosted brakes. I've driven mine unboosted though and it's acceptable, just need more pedal pressure obviously. Booster is a bit nicer day to day though, for sure.

What year is it? NZ new or import? Any pics of how it currently is?

Hrmmm, basically the issue that i'm having and I ask about adding a brake booster is that the brakes feel laggy.

The guy who owned it before me said he bled the brakes twice and it still felt that way. It doesn't feel spongy, just need to put the foot down a bit further than would be expected.

yes starlets do come with non boosted brakes, iv owned two that did (out of 53 starlets iv owned mind you lol) just converted a customers starlet wagon from non boosted to boosted , factory starlet booster fits, bit of dicking around with pushrod length, the one that pokes out from the booster to back of master cyl is a little long/may of been incorrectly sdjusted in the past. works mint now and made a big difference. non boosted was shocking.
