ratt
Hey boes, So i accidently replaced the A/T transmission filter with an engine oil filter, I damaged to old A/T filter in the process so i cant put that back on. Will an engine oil filter be fine with Automatic transmission fluid going through it? Cheers
KKtrips
Providing the thread is correct and the sealing ring is the same diameter and thickness I don't see any problem in the very short term but I would change it for the correct one ASAP in case there are flow or pressure issues.. Hemi
powersteering systems small hydrualic systems and also some manual gearboxes use atf and just use a standard spin on filter . in short should be sweet . but like kk siad its always wise to use the filter that was meant for it!! fulloc
The medium is fine and any good quality filter will have a built in pressure bypass andd anti return valve so itl be sweet.
