10Speed
http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?id=361890922 have been offered this for $295, good or not? mostly for panel, though may be used to section the occasional strut as well...
mjrstar
I have the same model, but red.. It will be fine for panel steel, struts and a bit of exhaust work.. It will overheat on long runs on setting D. the gun and feed system seem ok for the money.. mine has had a reasonable amount of use and has not failed me. I'd suggest the accessories like the wire brush and welding mask/shield should go straight in the bin. Probably a pretty sharp price as I think I paid nearer to 400 with the gas regulator
bubblegoose
i had one i gave it away did not like ive come to the conclusion that with cheap migs its very pot luck on wether they work well or not, depending on what mood the buy building it is in
Bling
Get what you pay for, just don't expect much from it and it shouldn't disappoint.

Unclejake
I raged at shitty cheap MIGs, second hand MIGs, and barking dogs. Then I bought a brand new decent MIG from a welding supplies outfit (Weldwell) and six years later it has never, ever let me down. I would rather not have the tool than have a crap tool, but to be fair I have been working for a long time and am no longer completely broke (so I can be a bit fussy). My new 175 amp Weldwell was $1,100 after some nice talking. Parts are easy to get still, but it is four times the price of the one you are looking at. Tough call
