tortron
perhaps a simple heat shield for the carb would help in that case?
Jase
well reasonable success boogied in this carb that was spare off the wr200, cranked the idle jet screw in half a turn and lifted the clip on the needle a slot, currently it doesn't idle too well a little low so i'll have to lift the clip one more slot and wind the idle jet open a tad more. the idle is too low as i was getting a rich bog at half throttle due to the needle needing to go down a bit more. overall pretty happy its pulling 50mph on the speedo at 2/3's throttle in top gear

Jase
ok failed to let this go, so started on an alloy solo seat and a mac/alloy side cover, even forked out for a tank repair kit to strip the rust out of the tank and reline it
