yoeddynz
He'll be using it to tarmac drives, steal lead from roofs and generally nick things from local shops.

bubblegoose
i would like to meat the gypsies that did the engine rebuild, seems they went to alot of effort but didnt change the waterpump so after an extremely broken up and long trip back from nelson and 55L of water i parked it up and proceed with money saving for parts

yoeddynz
No goodies I'm afraid. I was just wondering what engine it had. We looked at possibly putting a hairdryer on ours but with a bit of searching it seemed that they are very inclined to crack heads/overheat often as people run them harder with the extra power. So we'll just stick with trundling along for now.
bubblegoose
thats the 3L i believe 2ls are supposed to be sweet
yoeddynz
yeah ours is the 2l. Good ol basic engine. Understressed but slow engine. But with a turbo bolted on.. Ie the 2lt they end up being stressed more.
bubblegoose
so i took to the rust bubbles with the wire wheel today seems that the van is rusting from the inside out, and where its not its made of bog lots of bog, with come more bog its pretty bad around the entire gutter im not sure whats holding the roof on tbh, really not sure what to do, repeat repairs with newtec or drive to wreckers and see what its worth to them. figure its gona cost me as much to repair as id loose from wrecking it
spanners
Did you fix the engine in the end?
bubblegoose
not yet. not showing any signs of a warped head yet so im hoping im lucky and just slam a new water pump on and do skids
spanners
Seems like it would be such a gay waste to wreck it. I fully hope that you fix it and keep rolling it, bog and all
bubblegoose
deeper digging says i have to do welds/wees on it
bubblegoose
oh so who wants to make an offer on it, i give up. went to get stuck into cambelt/water pump and found the radiator is not blocked, its just disintegrated so needs a new one of those now too i have about $4.20 so fixing is looking unattractive right now
