ESKIN8R
How do you remove speedo gear from a Sierra type 9 gearbox? The speedo cable has been melted, seized up and had broken the cable inside the speedo gear. How do you get the speedo gear out??? Cheers

ESKIN8R
No not the cable itself, ive already got that out. I need to take the drive gear out, is it possible to take it out?
RT
the drive gear is a small plastic cog and chances are it's probably mashed..
Raizer
the drive gear is a small plastic cog and chances are it's probably mashed.. From what he has told me on MSN the drive is spinning but theres a small piece of cable stuck in the gear thats stopping the new cable from going right in. ESKIN8R
Yeah its not stripped, I managed to get it out, theres what looks like a core plug opposite the speedo drive output and you take it out that way.
