johnnyfive
So I've been pulled in to help a friend whos just replaced the engine in his AE101 Levin. It runs (somehow), but the warmer it gets the worse the idle is and throttle is needed to keep it running. If you let it die, it will only start and run at WOT and very badly. Once it cools down, it behaves itself again. Checked spark, & has fuel to injector rail, I don't know where to start/can be fucked. Not sure where to look next. Any 4age boes have a clue? Spencer
temp sender? yup its the 2 wire one thats not the switch for the fan on the thermo block right hand side of the head. If this is fucked ecu will think all sorts of whack shits going on doesnt sound like a typical temp sender fault but you never know. Pull the codes bro edit whoops

johnnyfive
Swapped temp sensor from orig engine over. Unsure if it was wrong sensor or just a fucked one. Seems to work all dandy. I am still so surprized my friend got the thing together, found like 50% of things loose & hoses etc going random places. Heard some pretty funky noises on the test drive.. Anyway, done my part. Thanks boes!
