Guest Mr T Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Hi my mk2 escort isnt starting or doing anything no lights or any electrics are working. when i started it a spark came of the battery and after that nothin is working, the fuses arent blown the battery is charged,ive check all earth wires and all have good connection. any help to solve this problem would be great thanks, plz help cause its driveing me maddd Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

eskynut Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 I would make sure battery terminals are clean. Take off clamps and give terminals a rub up with emery cloth or a piece of sandpaper. Also make sure the earth terminal on the engine block and the body are making a good contact as well. If there's a spark coming from battery the terminal might be covered in a sulphur dioxide coating (makes the terminal look a dark or black colour).
