d.p.n.s
see there was a 1300 that came with the van i just took the mounts off it but did look to see what was on what side as i thought both were the same but one is shorter. ive just had a look ate the block and id say the shorter 1 (when i say shorter its about 10mm shorter) goes on the drivers side as the mounting points stink out fro the block a bit more (about 100mm more lol) so that must be it. cheers dan
peteretep
yeah all escort xflow mounts have one side longer than the other, id probably use the pinto mounts if I could, they just look better, and the old xflow ones are getting pretty worn and can break in half like mine did

sholdowa
The longer mount was to give a bit more clearance for the carbs on a crossflow, so it should go on the exhaust side for the pinto. With it being a heavier engine, you may get problems with the sump hitting the crossmember. Having suffered this in the past, I'm going to use a wcxm in mine.
