treggo
Well the painter is going to be here at 6:30 and I still can find my keys.. I will need to remove my ignition barrel because the steering lock is on. http://www.capripower.co.uk/bboard/view ... ?f=11&t=89 The bolts are the same ones as detailed in that thread. Any help much appreciated. I need to get it off before 6:30!
KKtrips
I have remove countless of these on japa lasers/323's - You need a sharp centre punch. Punch a starting divot into it - then using the punch as a drift, tap it firmly counterclockwise it will undo slowly - getting faster as it loosens. Then do the other one.. Locksmith should have a good idea how to do it if you dont. To put it back on you will need to buy replacement torque to yield bolts.. just tighten it to a nice snug tightness - then back it off a quarter turn sharply and the bolt head will snap off as it is meant to - or you can just leave the head on there for next time you loose your keys, if you undo it carefully the head won't snap off. treggo
cheers. Managed to get my steering to work. Not ideal but enough to get it on and off the truck. Still can't believe after 2 weeks I haven't managed to find the keys for the bastard. They will probably show up when it leaves.
