UTERUS
So i got some formula r's to have a play with and in my exitement i never thought about the dude saying they had been in storage for a year. Aparently they have been in a container out of sunlight for that time, i had a prod of the tyres before and they seem pretty hard compared to my gsd3's but i know shit all about tyres anyway. How can i tell if the formulas will be ok? Do i need to get them warm again? I only have about 2 weeks before i use them at taupo. Cheers, Simon
Dell'orto
Are they new or used ones?
Truenotch
Were they inflated while in storage? Any little cracks or anything on them? May have perished a bit over that time, but should still work better then road tyres. I think it's pretty hard to tell without doing a road / track test though. Perished tyres feel kind of slimey compared to nice fresh ones, so you should be able to tell from that.
UTERUS
They are used and were not inflated, they also have some little cracks in the tread, not sidewall though.
CaMpylobacter
my direzzas have some cunty cracks in the tread, not down in the 'valleys' of the tread though. more a stress cracking from torsional force. will be sweet. I'd do a bit of mileage on them before the day if poss. highish speed stuff to get heat into them.
Gaz
How hard was hard? I had some Pzeros that had sat for ages out of light.. When I got them on the car they were fucked.. Mint tread but could spin most the way through third if I hooked it in the escort. For the car this was rediculous, felt pretty unsafe especially the front ones. Yuh, they felt real hard when I tried to put fingernail in them tho.
UTERUS
I can only just poke a fingernail in the tread, prodding it with a finger makes it flex a small amount. So, my best bet is to get them on the car and get some heat into them and go for a smokey nagata run up the north western?
