Fixing Fiberglass Guards

My name is Russell

Recommended Posts

Am after a smooth finnish and want to try and avoid the paint cracking. Have test fitted them up with some duct tape and they felt fairly rigid as if once boged up they should be fairly sturdy, just enquiring as to what methods are best for fixing them? glue and some small bolts with washers? then mabie some fiberglass to shape it into the body sanded down and skimmed with bog? anyone got any tips/links to tutorials on how it should be done? Cheers.

if you glass it on be sure not to have any bare steel, a good etch shud be under the glass such as durapox. then this will need keying with scotchy. defently sekiflex it aswell, make sure you have sum prepsol handy to clean everything first and to clean up. still on guarentees on it not cracking though.

By the way.. should have prob said this before... all the bare metal that was there before you put them on should prob have been primmered to avoid rusting.. also once done clean uner arch well, rust kill, prime out of can or brush and use that undersealant we brought.
