My name is Russell
Am after a smooth finnish and want to try and avoid the paint cracking. Have test fitted them up with some duct tape and they felt fairly rigid as if once boged up they should be fairly sturdy, just enquiring as to what methods are best for fixing them? glue and some small bolts with washers? then mabie some fiberglass to shape it into the body sanded down and skimmed with bog? anyone got any tips/links to tutorials on how it should be done? Cheers.
Raizer
Depending on how much of a lip they have to attach with, Sikaflex, big headed rivets then bog.
corrupt
fibreglass ftw, used it on my front lip. only thing you gotta be careful with is making sure the fibreglass has good adhesion to the guard, one end on my lip started coming off because of that
eke_zetec_RWD
if you glass it on be sure not to have any bare steel, a good etch shud be under the glass such as durapox. then this will need keying with scotchy. defently sekiflex it aswell, make sure you have sum prepsol handy to clean everything first and to clean up. still on guarentees on it not cracking though. My name is Russell
Cheers for the advice, brought some sekiflex and oversized rivits did the job well, brought a fiberglass kit also to shape some little bits but hopefully wont take much. One down three to go...
