filthy one Posted May 24, 2007 Share Posted May 24, 2007 Hey guys need some help? took my wagon for cert today straight through apart from handbrake {but i had'nt fitted it anyway] thought the certifier would have an idea or two. My problem is i need to find a handbrake lever that uses 2 cables as i don't have enough room to run cables in the driveshaft tunnel which means i have to run cables from the rx7 diff under the floor then up through it to the brake lever any ideas ??? So i need a setup that pulls up rather the pulling the cable towards the front AARRRGH fuck that makes no sense Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In a lazy arc (like motorbike throttle-cable bits where they join the throttle) like the pics in this link http://www.jpcycles.com/Tech/Articles/Cables.aspx and a floor mounted hand-brake with some minor adjustments to pull up from in front of the pivot-point. edit... Chrome_GT Posted May 24, 2007 Share Posted May 24, 2007 Yeah minis and morris's BLMC stuff have twin cables. Just had a look in the dark with my cellphone to light the scene - pulls forwards not up. Could you get some pulleys and rig something up? Otherwise lined cables as mentioned up there ^^^^ . Places like Safe R brakes could probably make something up for you, they can make clutch cables.
