can anyone actually confirm this? got an oppertubity to get 1 cheap so would be great if sum1 could confirm/measure thier 2litre5sped escorts driveshaft..

cheers for the confirmation guys. is the auto xmember the same as the 4speed one ? do u you escortman? wud be easier doin what you did than adapting a sierra to suit as im guessing you used the original mounting points so didnt need to cert that part... makes it easier than welding plates to the floor.

im not 100% sure on the crossmembers bien the same. i used the original holes... didnt have to drill anymore. was urs manual?

The floor pans are the same with both mk1/2 auto/Manuel escorts, its just the autos tunnels are bigger for the 1st section, the mounts are the same aswell its just the x member and driveshaft that differ

sweet so ill grab a auto gearbox xmember and a auto shaft and everythin shud bolt up nicely.

Dont you have to slightly slot a hole for the auto shaft to fit?

Not if you use the flange from a mk1 diff head as well, or get a new uni joint and have a mk2 end put on the mk1 shaft.

Or are you meaning the middle mount on a 2 piece shaft?
