Guest WESTCORT
cheers for the confirmation guys. is the auto xmember the same as the 4speed one ? do u you escortman? wud be easier doin what you did than adapting a sierra to suit as im guessing you used the original mounting points so didnt need to cert that part... makes it easier than welding plates to the floor. cher
Gaz
You dont have to weld plates to the floor. Just drill new holes and have plates ontop. Not welded tho.

The floor pans are the same with both mk1/2 auto/Manuel escorts, its just the autos tunnels are bigger for the 1st section, the mounts are the same aswell its just the x member and driveshaft that differ
peteretep
I just took my driveshaft out, was wondering if they all came with 2 piece shaft mounts, do all driveshafts have whitworth bolts on them as well?

Not if you use the flange from a mk1 diff head as well, or get a new uni joint and have a mk2 end put on the mk1 shaft. Or are you meaning the middle mount on a 2 piece shaft? Gaz
Whoops meant slot a hole for the auto x-member to bolt in. Wrote shaft instead of x-member.
