peteretep
yeah thats the auto choke what do you want to know about it? you dont need it if your wondering
lowlancer
Yeah mang, you can lose that. It just runs off the water temp, as you probably know, just get a choke cord from repco and have a manual one. Having no choke sucks...
L0WMK2
would i have to strip the auto off and mod something to suit?

L0WMK2
i thought those 2 lines go to the manifold?
lowlancer
Is your standard carb auto choke? Use the same lines if so. I know that lots of cars have water lines in the manifold, eg:My 4G63 does, but it ran an Aisian carb, which didn't match up to my weber, so I blocked it off. no biggy
L0WMK2
standard aint an auto everythings a straight swap except the auto choke
peteretep
sorry yeah i was looking at the manifold, not paying attention. easiest way to get rid of the chokes is just to take off the flaps, you'll just have to put your foot on the gas until you warm up
L0WMK2
i dont mine the auto choke but what do i do to connect it?

kyteler
take a better picture of the auto choke mechanism and then people might be able to shed osme light on the subject. To me it's looks exactly as people have already pointed out, it uses the water temp to guage what level of choke to use, so if you inlet manifold is water heated then you can divert or T some pipes off that to enable the choke, if your inlet manifold isn't water heated then just divert the heater hoses directly.
