atropine
nice looking project man exhaust.. gotta start on that personally its over the top, but nice and different and youve done it well.. kinda what demon was trying to do but youve done a good job of it.. recessing it up into the body is a must.. nice radiator.. should be good dont like the wheels too much.. but each to their own.. nice tyres nice little indicator job.. would of put them into the recesses on the body personally but hey, thats what customising is about.. keep it up p.s. you dont have to post a new post for every pic.. Guest kris
Hey, I've gone and measured up a sierra rad for the 10th time, and I am still amazed you got it in. I make it at least 10mm too large for the space between the wings... How much did you have to hammer out the inner wings to make it fit? excort
lol very carefully yeah the recess is for strength so i didnt whant to go cuting it out im gona full that up and tidy the front up so it will look good the alloy will grow on u
Guest kris
Your problems with fitting the Sierra Exhaust is one of the (many contributing) reasons I moved the supercharger on my Pinto to the other side of the engine - so I could fit decent extrators. I couldn't be bothered with the messing around fitting the Sierra pipes around the Escort steering column. You really need the pipes in the vertical plane rather than the horizontal, which is where all Cortina Extractors and Sierra Exhausts have them. IMO its a messy job that will only frustrate you (especially with an arc welder blowing holes in the tubing), better to just save some $ and get a set of extractors to start with. K. excort
i totally agree with you there its a really anoyign thing but i honestly dont mind stuffing around with it i plenty of bends i just wana have it there for when i start the engine up etc i will get some exstractors one day dam arc weilders make a mess of anything
Guest kris
Yeah, I love my MIG. Best tool I own. The only things that come close are the recipricating saw and compressor.

SYKOV6
if ya wanna do the extractors ya self, cut and tack all the bits how u want them with ya arc welder then take them to a welder to finish with a mig. saves u all the time/cost of someone else having to fuck around making them all fit.
