I'm not to sure about Familia discs but a mate told me you can fit whole mr2 front struts with some modification, not to sure where he got that info from though.

I know you can put seirra front struts and rotors etc into an esky if you shorten them or something. Got some measurements somewhere around.

Not to sure if that helps you though...

Using rwd capri struts you can fit redrilled BMW E30 discs (260mm vented). Have done this myself with full support from my certifier.

For calipers I'm running spaced princess 4 pots.

The reason for using capri struts is they offer more space as the BMW disc has more offset (35.1mm compared to 27 for the escort/capri std disc).

This will give you larger diameter vented discs for a pretty good price.

The familia discs are a common mod in aussie but nz cert restrictions mean we can't do it. The centre hole is too large and requires a spacer to be fitted to keep it central on the hub which our guidelines frown on. You can always give the cert guy a try though. Worst he can say is no...!

You can buy vented disc that will bolt straight onto an Escort? The princess option is a top choice for cheap AP 4 pots also, you just need to alter the brakets for fitting the callipers. Kits to do this are readily available also.

Or you can go completely mad...

mmmm alloy hubs....

The vented 2.8i capri discs bolt straight on, just need spacers in the calipers to take the wider discs. Only problem is that they're only easily available from the UK.

What bracket mods are required for the princess 4 pot fit? That's what I've got on my mk2 and they went straight on...

I had different brakets on my Mk2 to fit the princess calipers to, mind you it also had differnt struts also? Still a good option, but have you felt the weight of the buggers!!

The brakets I had are sold through Rally Design in the UK, they do all kinds of kits for fitting various brake options to Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts. They also sell all kinds of spacers, well worth a look.
