Spose new points are feck all cost and last a decent 5-10k no worries
-
Y u no throw out points and go electronic ignition? After we got it in our mini, started pretty much first pop even in the cold, vtec may have even been slightly harder.

Willdat's this wasn't supposed to be a project Honda Beagle

I always thought it'd be easier to put in like Accord suspension into shuttles to lift them. Same eye type etc and fork at front, except much longer. (Just need to swap top hats) -
Yea think I used classic mini spares too, there's a few things on trademe too. There's also Phil Dean in upper hutt who repairs them, which is a wealth of knowledge. I got some 10" mini steelies from a MK4 if you want them Kelvin (free). I'm stealing the tyres though for the lawnmower

Random slightly cool stuff you built but not worth its own thread, thread

Do you put paint on it? I assume you didnt splash out on treated stuff? -
Got a spare set of both pretty sure (Y) Front shocks could be a pain to replace, might have to look into replacing the hubs so you can remove the steering rack attachment from the shock. The rear shocks are "KYB - 343143 GR-2 Shock" but I haven't found a resource to swap the fronts.

What chu need

He wants 12000rpm for that CE experience (Constant Erection). Otherwise he could probably go for the city turbo motor or something, or liek I was investigating the L15 from the Honda Fit/Jazz RS
-
I don't think he completely knows yet, he's been offered some underpowered stuff that someone was going to put into an mx5, so could be a good place to start at least

I have a feeling mates 99.4% unlikely to use the 600cc beast (See: he's telling people he's likely to do EV swap) So plausible 600cc option, and you could possibly boost or something interdasting

Things recently happened as I remember them: 1) Wife gave birth to future slave labour option 2) Donated above green N600, finally out of the garage weekend just been. Hopefully the new owner will give it another lease for life. 3) N360 got it's brakes all redone, new rubber lines, new pads, master cylinder rebuilt, everything lubed up and nice. Still have sponginess in pedal, need a vac bleeder I reckon 4) N360 took a little visit to Honda Wellington dealership as part of a promo. Car got a decent wash, polish etc. Now that garage is a little more empty, not that I have any time still, I still have a few things I can work on, still need to find door and window rubber seals and bleed brakes etc. I suppose might have to wait for Spring at this rate...

I have painted a total of zero cars and taking forever aligns with my current build plans

While you repaint your one, wanna give mine a little spruce up?

I'm transferring my n600 to mates place next week, might have a better idea if theres a spare 600cc motor to throw in your mix. Another option would be to see if you could fit the motor from Honda shitty turbo? Or 3 cyl dihatsu turbo etc. Something you could buy a rusty shell on and put everything over

Done, check you fb

@Figgy Did you manage to flick your Civic? Or have any other sources? There's probably a couple floating around if you join that NZ Honda Civic AT/AS/ etc page
-
Build 4 - go autisitic
-
Build 3 - copy the spoon N360. Use a BMW motorbike head http://www.speedhunters.com/2009/06/gallery_gt_gt_spoon_honda_n360_packaging/
-
He's a mod on Classic Honda of Australia fb page pretty sure, been wanting to make a Classic Honda of NZ page, but the nz honda av/as/at/aa group is pretty good in the mean time.

Can confirm n360's we're pretty much copied from Minis and wheel flares from minis are direct bolt on And you should most definitely get modgies for this beast, because why would you not? Trademe link And if my friend does his EV swap with my spare N600, there's an N600 motor waiting as well as I have some oversized pistons, however there's a guy in Western Aus who rebuilt his N600 using higher compression EB civic pistons for more dorts. Then get a motorbike Fuel Injection conversion kit and tune this bitch (Y)

Engine swap 2 - Insight gearbox with battery pack and rear mounted E07a in the back from a Honda Beat. Can dig out more build information about this. You might be able to squeeze and EO7z turbo into the front from a Honda Life, 660cc and like 50 odd hp, but tsu tsu tsu tsu.
-
Engine swap 1 - shitty video (And complete abortion of a car), would be a bit of work, but the Jazz motor is probably one of the easiest and most powerful upgrades (Look up L15b motor....)
-
I got several pipe dreams of things that can fit in these. Have done much research and cried every time at my bank balance and not being able to do the swap using a hammer and screwdriver. I have a few spare parts etc too, lets meet up and make this matchbox car great again.
