if you've got a points dissy chuck it away.. get a s2 or s3 (turb or non) electric dissy from fb rx7, the one with modules on the side.. full centrifugal advance is achieved at 1500 or 1750 rpm (depending on dissy model) - timing light tuning at higher revs than this so bit of a non issue.. forget vacuum advance/retard.. [advance (s2 dis on overrun) / retard (turb dis on boost)] i run turbo dis no vacuum unlocked 2.5 deg split this is all i have to say - search rx7.com, ausrotary.com for shitloads of info for africa
  4. nylon not plastic? - anyway they're good - you can see the colour of your oil. i have the gauge inside and not worried about it bursting hot oil on me.. much
  5. yip wattyl killrust is good as is crc black zinc.. over the top of black zinc on the underbody (not suspension or any moving parts) i use this stuff; mendent brush-on underbody seal: i like it.. it is rubberised and is not so brittle as to chip off like others
  6. just for info value.. http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/virm-in-service-certification/docs/gen-7-vehicle-interior-v4a3.pdf Table 7-1-1 on page 7-1-2 LVV certification is not required provided that: the seat is either an unmodified OE seat from another vehicle or of a known and reputable aftermarket brand, and – the seat is fitted to unmodified OE seat anchorages, and – the seatbelt anchorage or operation is not affected, and – the seat components (including brackets, runners and rails) are compatible with each other, ie they are either OE components from a production vehicle or of a known and reputable aftermarket brand, and are not fitted together by welding, and – the relationship between seat, seat occupant, front airbag and location of the seatbelt anchorages is not affected.
