  1. no real progress on this other than archetype is making some side stripes for me. has anyone had any experience with these repro carburettors on ebay ect? I'm tossing up wether to just get one of them or mess around re-kitting one of the originals i have would be nice for one to turn up and just bang it on if they are not too bad quality. going to clean up a air cleaner for it then thats the engine bay mostly done except for wiring.
  2. nice car man, my work mate has one the exact same colour lowered on 15's, cool little cars, wood grain is neat looks good
  3. i hate surprises, show us the paint job! going to look the business on those wheels and tyres nice work!
  4. haha good things take time and life chucks everything else in the way also, yeah look forward to seeing a vid of it on a track, its now got me wondering wether i could fit a set of those itbs to my NA motor in my ute to ditch the carb! keep up the good work
  5. just read your thread awesome build notch backs are a sweet looking car, trumpets look cool on the engine too!
  6. dremels are so handy can get into those places grinders can't reach! awesome progress too
  7. wow that sill looks similar condition to the cab i cut up for patch panel, much respect for taking on the task of repairing that, look forward to seeing how you tackle it
  8. awesome work with the floor repairs nice job with the channels. awesome thread but i find a lack of furry friends compared to all your other threads? does kevin not approve of station wagons? or not a fan of patina? keep up the good work, also another vote for avo on toast my slice of choice being burgen.
  9. exhaust is finished, looks good all painted and done, i removed the lsd and put the open head back in, wired up the taillights and have painted up headlight buckets getting ready to put the front back together, still need to put the new clutch hose in and test it for free play/set it up. also need to try and find/trace the oil pressure and water temp wires from the dash and remove all the extra wiring for the rotary, lots of little things to go, just going to get it going and worry about interior after driving it for a month or two.
  10. i had a aftermarket ecu in my old series 7 and it ran sequential twin turbos fine….... but it was a power fc. just plug in and go but they change between series 6 and 7 with different plugs i believe. these megasquirts sound like pretty cool bit of kit and be awesome putting it together yourself
  11. cheers man! yeah it looks far better with that piece carried through
  12. just wondering if anyone has played around with courier lsd nuggets or has any diagrams/specs? I'm guessing some one has added shims to the one i have put in my ute as it scuffs the tyres really bad as soon as you start to turn its even really hard to push it around. I'm thinking ill chuck the open diff i have back in for now but i would be keen to have a go at setting it back up to work normally for when i chuck a mx5 motor, if anyone has any info about them it would be much appreciated
  13. sweet car looks tidy, i like your back seat cover ariba ariba!
  14. towed it down to work to do the exhaust i had over adjusted the brakes, so adjusted them again today and backed them off a bit, sits at not a bad height id almost say it needs to go down slightly more in the rear just a touch? chucked the new dizzy bits together and checked the lead lengths, looks all good, need to suss the wiring for it next exhaust has been made and sitting in place, just needs the mounts welded on then pull it out to paint then back in and weld muffler in, stoked with the job they did need to get the carb back on, suss more wiring and grease every thing while its up on the hoist. also have the little brothers escort down the shed, t has a 12a and s1 box that needs the gearbox out, it crunches into 2nd and 3rd.
  15. picked up the radiator from being recored today, looks good. not cheap but wanted to keep original copper jobby. sat it in, need to source some new hoses, and hook up the heater hoses also next job is to get the exhaust done
