  1. www.105speed.com these guys have done everything to an Anglia you can imagine
  2. I had that issue in my mondeo. The relay for the thermostatically activated fan was shot. 2 ways to fix it 1) Replace relay 2) When temp gets up turn on Air con as this turns the fan on. I did option 2 as I hated the mondeo.
  3. cheers boss, will keep an eye out for some mk2 cortina struts then. I dont want to drop her more than 2 inches, 1 or 1 1/2 will be heaps as I dont wanna go cutting the arches etc.
  4. OK you better come to the anglia lunch then boss
  5. if you are planning something not involving Mk2 struts I would be keen to buy em off ya in the future. Still running std struts on mine at the moment. What is the ride height like with std Mk2 struts?
  6. Congratulations guys. I am sure you will get the job done well!
  7. What front struts are in it at the moment? I want to look at lowering and discs in the future but cannot afford the Milton Mk2 conversion. Talk to you at the anglia lunch. have you spoken to retroford in the UK? they do some 105e zetec conversion gear I guess you have been to www.105speed.com
  8. I cannot nominate any of them, only because it was my first meet. I do not know any of them better than any others, however I think all nominees I met will be good. edit: That sounds like I am sitting on the fence
  9. You live near the uni? Want a lift? Cannot promise it will be in a Box, but it is better than entering a strange bar and not knowing the secret handshake.
  10. Awesome! The more the better, please bring pics of your project as I think it is in the North Island isnt it?
  11. Must be a ford thing... I used a rubber mallet to protect threads too!

    fecking brakes

did a bench bleed. Still no joy. I dunno if any of the cylinders are sticking because I cannot get any pressure in the system to get them to move. Hahaha the car has had more brake fluid go thru it than petrol over the last 5 years!

Hi UJ, Good point about checking the shoes, i will check that tomorrow, but I assume they are as the brakes were fine until the master cylinder went. And the Handbrake is off. Cheers for the pointer

    fecking brakes

Hi Prozac, 1967 anglia. She has a hose leaving the master to a 4 way splitter. Each front wheel gets a hose and then one goes to the rear and is split to the rear drums. I do not believe there is a bias valve in the system. A Vacuum bleeder sounds interesting. I just want to get her on the road to go to the chch OS meet tomorrow. Have run outa brake fluid now.. Will see what comes up tonight on here.
  19. OK carrring on from my brakes issue thread. How much brakefluid should I need to use to bleed my brakes after replacing my master cylinder? I put in a NEW master cylinder. Began to bleed the brakes. Got thru 750ml of brakefluid so far, trying to bleed the inevitable air bubble in the system. I cannot get ANY resistance in the brake pedal. Doing it all the right way, starting at the left rear, right rear, left front , right front, rubber hose going into a beer bottle with an inch of fluid in it and pumping brakes till no air bubbles visible in the line. Then tightening up the nipple. What have I missed? Sorry to be such a noob! PS I took off all four drums and hit the brakes with brake cleaner and there does not appear to be any leaks at the drums.. (I took the drums off today to check)
  20. OK, does someone want to swing by my place (1km from the redwood pub) tomorrow a bit earlier to help me bleed my brakes. I cannot get any pressure in my pedal even after going thru 750ml of fluid trying to flush out any air bubbles. (the brake lines were bled dry in the past and I just fitted a new master cylinder). Then I can bring my anglebox to the meet. Drop me a text 0275 BOAT ED Glenn
