  2. basically the "automotive questions you always wanted to ask" thread v 2.0 .if its simple, ask in here.if its a genuine tech question, start your own thread so the info doesnt get lost in here so,ill start will a manual BG5 GTB legacy ecu thats set up to run yellow injectors and orange afm run a motor that has another set of injectors and a purple afm??yes i realise its not OS but im trying to get my wagon going
  3. indeed i did, would youlike me to chuck it up??
  4. yup, price ya pay for making them how they should have been in the first place lol.and very true, just about everyone i talk to has either owned or had an experience with a escort or cortina in the past,i can see the value going up on them in the next few years as the ke/kp population runs out and they turn to small fords
  5. i got some stuff from RJP a while ago,i cant remember the price but its good shit, holds down the spoiler on the boot of the sport at *slightly* above the open road limit .ill dig it out tomorrow and let you know the brand
  6. id go for double sided foam tape, that way it can be removed without potentially breaking it like glue could do
  7. i say keep the garnish,IMO it would look odd with no garnish on the boot
  8. i had to get the mrs and my mate to jump out for me to get over that and still scraped like hell :/ .mate almost lost his exhaust off the green/blue XB too.and im hoping so,would be a shame to loose it very nice mk4 by the way,my olds had a sherwood green mk4 when i was kid, think thats why i like them so much
  9. trust me,you dont want it that low.did you hit the bump coming down the hill into oxford??i thought it bent the steering, turns out its obliterated two of the subframe bushes .and yeah, oxford was really confusing, all found it in the end though pity next year will be the last one
  10. my mk5 sport Karl's mk5 ghia Glenn's Anglia NZford's mk4 Ghia unsure if this is an OS member, very tidy little escort though very tidy mk2 cortina and im not sure,is this Mr.mk1's mk2 cortina?? i cant take credit for these, the mrs took them, lol.i have a few more, but this is all the relevant ones IMO
  11. Nice to finally Meet you Glenn .and for those that were there,i found the problem with the sport.......subframe bushes collapsed on the drivers side.still not sure if steering is bent though :/ joys of lowered cars ae??? LOL .
  12. will be meeting you all at the start or somewhere during the day,and my mates are Bringing just the v8 XB now
  13. will find out tonight,vg30e powered pathfinder of the old mans, although that has a transfer case attached it may be the same as a 2wd box
  14. excellent, might have to take mine to see him for next warrant,or get you to take it lol.and matthew black ae??must be who my mate Josh bought it off,lol
  15. lmao, always one .just so we are clear, shes turning 28 years old on the 16th
  16. i have the same issue, mrs birthday drinks the night before, her birthday is actually the 16th though and Karl,is your cortina still lowered??oh,and bring the pictures of the sport from when your mate owned it if you do attend(please do,i dont want to be the only mkV )
  17. new rims= ,now it needs to hit every branch on the lowering tree on its way into the weeds . fake edit:got floors YET???
  18. its usually 10am.and ill be in a satin black mk5 cortina with hotwires on the front, modgies on the back.and will talk to mates who are bringing their falcons(v8 xb,6 cyl xd),see if they're keen to head to BP first, otherwise we will meet yaz at the start
  19. what about the red the Detomaso's came out in from the same generation as the wheels??have heard these lil things are rocket ships with the right mods
  20. sport is good to go,who else is making an appearance??
  21. Not a standard setting as such, but its a trick my Grandfather taught me.Set the screw at halfway out(where it should theoretically be anyway).start the car up(if it will start where screw is obviously).Wind the screw in(aka richening) until you hear a change in engine tone. From there wind screw back out approx 1 1/2 turns.I've used this method on every carby car ive tuned, usually they end up slightly rich, but seems to hit the spot tuning wise with cortinas(both mine are tuned this way).No doubt there is a more accurate way to do it though
  22. im not a fan of longchamps but they look seriously cool on this
  23. disregard subi, acquire second mk5??and i got 2 of the hotwires onto mine today with yoko 352's,i can now see why you have liked the look for so long.will up load pics once is all one colour
  24. its almost done exterior wise thank you lol.
  25. HOTWIRES=FUCK YEAH!!!!!so much better, given me the kick up the arse to go get my 215 yokos taken off the modgies and put onto my hotwires for the sport
