ha sorry ed, i may have been somewhat drunk when i wrote that, what a nob...

lol i didnt really think the BFMR counted as "oldschool" either, but i guess thats more up to different peoples opinions more than anything else... guess its more because its the iconic "DOHCA" anyway, unless i can get it running half decent it prob wont be there.

ugh id have been keen ed but i got a wedding on sat night... -
yeah im gonna leave the mazda on 8psi to avoid shattering a gearbox along the way. see you guys at greenlane then, dammit ive got some tuning to do, and gotta get the last half of the exhaust welded on too i guess....
-
after ripping out the fuel tank cause it was ful of crap and fouling up the pump ive got it back in now and back to running, been for a few canes around the block, so back to tuning, its still lean as heck so bloody quick on boost lol but need more tuning, oh and missing a rear muffler. please excuse the crappy sound quality!

haha yeah of course, its a massive area and next to the beach too, coin operated bbqs etc
-
Come on now Dan... Car club cruise! haha its got a decent sized carpark, the same can be said of anywhere though, just depends how busy it is. ever seen maraetai beach during the summer? Omana park could be another good option too. theres a massive field where everyone can park up.... game of cricket or something perhaps?

wrcbfmr replied to AE25's topic in Upper North Island Region
Im keen for a track day, BFMR's ready for its final tune, its rapid on 9psi, cant wait for 20. should easily be able to get it sorted by the end of jan... -
Kawakawa Bay out those ways is pretty decent, theres a mint beach about 15mins walk away, long and sandy, perfect for beach cricket etc. parking can be somewhat limited at times though...
-
i be keen, later the better, gives me more time to get the car sorted properly... fuel pumps back in but gotta tune the thing again, get exhaust wielded back up etc
-
that was me! haha, and i did manage to eventually! where are the vids???
-
well, got bored tonight. pulled off the hubs and brake lines, gonna look at sorting out the mazda sentia master cylinder tomorrow night, then on with the stainless lines and vr4 brakes. also scored a bosch 040 fuel pump so hopefully itll be a case of chucking that in and no more issues for me! fuel pumps... bosch on the left, stock in the middle... toy walbro on the right. no wonder they have issues....
