  1. Still no floors, might raise them into the body yet. Free low with full suspension travel. Needs to go down about 4 inches..
  2. trial fitted the mags today. before... after. has 195/60/14's on them, need 235 70 14 or something like that. looks a bit like a gasser, need hitting with the lowering stick. anyone know where to get lefthand threaded wheel shank bolts? do they even exist? will probably drill them out and use / convert to falcon studs. enough room for 4wd spec tyres.....
  3. had similar problems with carbs years ago on a trike project. diaphram carbs need an airbox. found the origonal airbox worked best. had the same with the speedway boys. they had tried everything to get their bikes to run well, as soon as they put the origonal airbox on, fixed. no flat spots or over fueling. dynojet kits and a k&n filter with bigger airbox intake got them 30% torque more than stock, 20% more hp also. I spent about 5 yrs in a bike wreckers in chch, so saw this sort of thing all the time. same for the sidechair tarmac guys too. worth a go?

  6. have driven this to the pub a couple of times, goes well for a flathead. have done nothing to it since buying it really, still haven't even put fuel in it yet. got these today 14X7 hotwires. might have to do some work in the school hollidays on it... carlsberg for comparison.

  10. Or get the rectifiers with spade terminals on it.
  11. Tin the soldering iron first. Clean it up with a file when hot an apply solder to the tip. Can make a big difference. Cheers.
  12. jaycar rectifier for a battery charger, about $10. good for 10 amps or so. have used them on old triumphs/bsas etc. you will need a battery to act as a regulater.

  14. condenser is in by the points on a c50. as per diagram. YOU NEED THE RIGHT COIL
  15. you have an ac coil. you need a dc coil. c90's are unique like this. the second wiring diagram is a c50.
  16. a ballast coil from a car will work in a pinch, just don't use the ballast.. c90's need a battery and a good charging system to run.
  17. they have sent you a c50 coil. c90's need the 2 wire type.
  18. horrible things to drive, horrible. lots of fun though. got full meccano set for it, single cab roof, well side deck, full roof, flat deck cab back lower, door tops come off etc. would love to keep it, need room and money. got 7 cars up the driveway.....
  19. got some doors and a better bonnet. will be for sale soon, need moneys for the plymouth.
  20. How about a os shed run Convoy around everyone's projects / sheds and talk about cars and beer. Meat would have to burnt somewhere as well
