its a par dog box, made in sydney. all new guts but overdrive is still synco even thou its straight cut im making 204 kws at the back wheels out of the 2 litre at the moment at 9200 rpm ,be nice to make 260kws at 8200 rpm out of the 2.4 .will most likely need either 52mm quads which will be ok as there is enough meat on my quads to do this ,cams will have the same lift but more duration something in the 260 plus to 270 range at 50 thou range not many people are using the 2.4 honda ,but there are a few using the mazda /ford 2.4 4 cyl 1 at the moment and that is making good power -

dave afew of my mates bought the altezza manifold off me ,when they did the red top to rwd and made a plate so the std red top throttle bolted up to the altezza plenum you might have to do the same -
the 205 were in a special head with 35mm buckets on both sides ,the cam seems to mark up about 10mm from the top the other cams which were about 268 at 50 thou and 575 thou lift has 2 much velocity we try to keep the cams to about .01000" this new 1 the 263 is max vel is .01074" the super tourer is .01084" the 205 is .01135" and the 178x is way over the last 1 close to 12 from memory and on the dyno lost power every where. we wernt using vvti and had the cam fixed at 100 lobe center and we tried moving it either way from 105 to 95 to see how it would go
-
yes you did the 205 profile ,they marked up straight a way like the toda cams do and that bigger 1 had to much velocity and lost power every where ,but that super tourer that you fixed was good ,these were made here and are fine so far ,no problems with vvti, seated pressure are 90 lb springs with ti retainers and steel valves
-
im using a 14.65mm lift cam on my altezza engine and its 263 at 50 thou .still moving the inlet 1 and half teeth of vvti.. std is 3 teeth of movement on the exhaust ,moving that 1 tooth ,both cams are the same in lift and duration .they also fit onto a 33mm bucket ,had to do shit loads for the cam to turn thou not using std pistons thou up to 14.5 to 1 comp and have deeper fly cuts on the valve pockets .currently running 80 thou piston to valve with max vvti movement
-
just run the exhaust to the back of the car and put double the size muffler that you have at the far back , it would probaly need a retune with muff that far back ,more power for you . keep exhaust close to tail shaft tunnel for more room under car

on this subject, i have been getting a 2.4 crank made up with rods and forged pistons to go into a 5sfe block crank is 2 grand billet from the states and waiting on rods and forged pistons just relooking at the bore wonder if 1 of the rings are broken in that cyl vvti will also make a rattle if the solinoids are on 100 % on the motec we change the gain only to 95% to stop them from burning out just looking at your quad throttle set up .it would be better to have the quads closer to the head and use longer ram tubes the reason is i can see that breaking from the harmonics even with the silocone runners .also this gives you a chance to use a cold air box over your quads
-
if it was a crack, water would come out of that cyl through the quad throttle .may be some thing went down it before you started it up ,quite easy to do ,only takes a small nut of so just make sure that it hasnt hit any valves or heads will drop ,i would be taking the head off to see properly .if a valve drops the head will cost a lot of money plus the bore will split and might throw a rod your call
-
fuck you guys run hard springs in your cars over here for track work. on semi tyres 5.6 in the front and 4 on the back a bigger sway bar up 4 mm thicker and the std sway on the back with good bilstein shocks
