I'm super tired, meant to be studying but might have an early night. Bag is packed, oil topped up, helmet/visor/bike cleaned, gear laid out, beer/food purchased. Shit, forgot to check tire pressures. Better do that now.

I'm going to skip the convoy trip up, I'll leave just before lunch and aim to get up there between 1 & 2. The reasons for this are: - 7am on saturday - It will be mega super freezing - Ice on the road is terrifying on a motorcycle - It will give me an extra couple of hours to study for a big test on tuesday In summary, I'll be more likely to be an engineer and less likely to die

Had a productive couple of hours in the shed today. Managed to get the throttle to return properly, got all the controls mounted and the bars all finished. Also managed to finish making my headlight mounts: Ultimately I would like to mount the light lower, but that will be in phase two when I re-wire it, get a new headlight with a nicer bucket and get smaller gauges that I can mount lower with the headlight. The smaller indicators work sweet as considering they were like $5 a pair

Holy shitbags. I just opened a fucking massive can of worms Bolted the new bars onto my bike and they look ace! Broke 3 brittle old wires on the controls Have to sand some of the nice paint off my flash new bars cos its too thick and the throttle won't return Clutch cable, brake hose and all the control wiring is now way too long Should be sweet by the weekend though for the meet in the middle (except for everything being too long, it can just stay that way for a little while). Need to find a modern donor bike with a single vented front disc brake on a bolt off hub, then I can pinch the entire brake setup and get nice modern brake and clutch levers too.

Well I finally put some bar tape on my flopped and chopped bull-horn bars back in like february and also a nice brown seat, I have been riding it like that for a while. I decided a while ago that I wanted to get some moustache bars and could finally afford it but then I got a $200 no-rego parking ticket so that plan has been put on hold. However after a well worded letter to the council, the reply came back yesterday and I got off the fine so off to the bike shop today. New bars, levers and cables. I've got some brown bar tape on order to match the seat but in the mean time I needed a temporary solution for the tweed ride tomorrow. So I cut up a wrecked old tweed jacket Quite pleased with how it looks! But I don't think it will last very long.

Like I said, wherever, whenever works for me!
