  1. hey Think i saw you this morning driving down sparks road, at the halswell road end about 7.40ish
  2. just dig your own trench, since its extra low voltage, it doesn't have to be at the same depth as 230v can always be done at a later date, just come up the wall in flexible conduit about 200mm into an end box still looks tidy, before the walls are lined though
  3. Dear Clint Just went through check point, the guys from land transport checked it out, all good bar one issue that he spotted. He measured the height of suspension from the center of the wheel to the top of the guard, I read the Average car height is 300mm. Mine Reads 570mm and 540mm, which is way out! says my car has like a 3inch lift kit in it. Was there a different way of measuring back in the day? ( cert plate is old) He said i wouldn't get a WOF with that mistake (BS anyway as i do) So my options are just leave it and risk coming across an unreasonable cop or pay $400 for a new plate? Or is there another option, what do you think Thanks Horse

  10. if its still reading 12v its not charging, should be around 14v when the car is running, convert it to an alternator and you will be sorted....

  12. all good, sorry to confuse anyone, all sugestions are welcome! tonight i will be drilling out the rivets a little and they will be tigged at work tomorrow:) then tested the next day, finger crossed off to the powder coaters after that!
  13. have been making a bit more progress on this, front is nearly done, just having trouble getting the motor running. today i picked up my widened steels, my sport is at the ride height i want to achieve at the rear, so i tried them out. Dont think it will rub as i still have plenty of clearance inside the guard, just only 10-5mm at the front. what colour should i get them powder coated? i was thinking a grey ie gun metal grey?
  14. sweet thank you! will give that a try!
  15. dont mean to hijack the thread here, but when the motos is at top dead center, what postion should the points be in? closed, about to open? open? closing? yes its a 1600 in an escort.
  16. arr, with correct punctuation it made sense, sorry well manual tunnel is fine as you can see by my photos, yes you will have to mod your cross member...
  17. 1600 sport, so manual tunnel, still fits a garden hose in the tunnel to fill up the oil... diff?, you just need a new driveshaft...
  18. console was just bought forward a little, still looks good. T9 using original mounts,
  19. you dont have to touch the firewall/ tunnel. mine is a 1600 sport with a 2.0 fits in tight but no bashing required, just means you have to take the whole engine out if you want to change the box/clutch but its only a days work anyway... photos are still coming... Friday night

  21. Saw one of these in chch today, was mint! red like yours, everything was original. My guess is a one lady owner as it was an old lady that was driving it, was tempted to turn around and give chase and take some photos for you. do you know of many others around?
