  1. I forgot to ask something Which one of these mark is the timing mark? I am guessing the Dent, not the line.
  2. Hello Boys and Girls Any of you got a torque wrench willing to lend it to me Got Crank Pulley bolt needs to torque it up Sorry forgot to mention, it's 1400kg.cm or 137N.m torque required.
  3. Yeh, forgot to mention, I have only used the ratchet to tight it up for Now. It's still loss. But at least I should be safely move the car not driving on the road or anything. I am going to borrow some OS GC Torque Wrench see if akl boys got one.
  4. It's pretty much all in now. Put it for the 1st gear, with hand brake on. Tighten up till the car wants to move a bit. Thanks for all your help. Was bit scary to slam it with hammer in the first place.
  5. Do you mean the timing belt Guide washer that between The cam cover and the Timing belt pulley? http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1983_T ... _1301.html It is there. The Pulley isn't fully in yet, You think If I tighten it up to the torque spec, it would be fully in? How would I pull it out again later on??
  6. The reason that felt off possibly because Ned helped me did the timing 2 month ago. Forgot to take the spanner/ratchet off while I started the engine.
  7. Ok, it's In, Not exactly in position, But can't take them off by hand now. used small hammer with rags wrapped around. shouldn't be much force applied at all. Now, Should I keep slamming it then put the bolt on or? I am worried now, How would I take it off in the future to change the timing belt or something??
  8. Well, Last night pulled out garage to make the burger meet, noticed the battery charger light is on. Then found alternator belt off, when I was trying to fit the belt, I couldn't find the crankpulley to put the belt on. Luckily I found the pulley resting on the underbody panel. Bought the bolt today should fit. also new belt as last one missing One Track out of 5. Right, I will clean both surfaces, make sure I got the slots right and hammer it carefully. Will report back.
  9. This probably again sounds dumb. It seems to be very straight forward job. But I can't put the Crank pulley back on, without smashing it. Are you suppose to heat treat it or something? how else do you put the crank pulley back on the engine? Suck balls.
  10. crazy. It just looks like the Engine,Gear Box and Diff system is 3 times bigger than the car. Or Looks like Someone built the Mechanical parts first and then bolt the Chassi and Panels to it. What kind of Power would it be putting out? if it's under Rally legislation, I am guessing under 300bhp?
  11. yeh, I will show up this time at backyard bar.
  12. I realize I should let you people know that few AE boys would show up for our meet. Ling.
  13. Where abouts are you man? I am at avondale travelling to Northshore meet at 5.45 ish. let me know if you are near by.
  14. Looks like you finished tunning it man. would love to see this thing again in person. Impressive stuff!
  15. I am going to meet up the people at backyard bar first, then cruise down. who's with me?
  16. I think Mutiny already made up his mind on his engine plan. although we all want 6 cylinders, but it is his car and what ever makes him happy. I would say go ahead. Would love to see this thing get finished.
  17. So, are you going to put the supra rear end to the 86?
  18. I am as confused as Andrew to be honest. I know RB isn't really oldschool but then so does SR. SR has Chain, so that's a bonus? I thought RB is always the best engine for Thrashing. I respect your choice totally what ever you decide.
  19. It seems to me that the bog is not too bad? It was only there to make the paint job smooth after some panel repair, which there isn't other way to do it. It isn't covering up rust etc. or did I miss something?
  20. Haha, BLing Bling Style on K road. Cute.
  21. i dont want turbo, and id rather kill myself than let a rb anywhere near my life Fair Enough. SR20DE is 300ish I think.
  22. SR20DE is cheap as chips I guess. What about SR20DET? Or RB20DET? It's just so much work to put a Cheap Engine in.
  23. Been doing few small things lately. Mostly sanding painting etc. Side indicators faded shit, took me 3 hours to mask them up. then screwed up with gloss paint which is designed to go on metal. Resprayed it with Flat black. Result is pretty average as. Better condition side mirrors, took housing apart found it rusty as inside. so used most people Favourite tool to grind off the rust. Had option to use flat black, flat black ,white, or aluminium. Aluminium sounded more sexually attractive and industrially dirty. Turned out to be shit, paint just still comes off after overnight drying. While at the mirrors, mise just take the door apart. replaced the side mirror holding plate. rusty as, as they all do that. Also fish oiled inside the door while at it. Some small bits like the radiator holder and the battery mount. Also, I thought every body else is a messy cunt.
