Body loom wiring is about as much fun as a 3s - all yours mate, I will stick with 4ages and engine looms haha
-
Its the same for injectors and coils, but I usually twist the 4x drives and the power feed together through to engine, then split with an open barrel crimp into the 4 individual power feeds and split to each injector/coil from there. I can't find a photo of the last set of COP's I've done but with smart coils for example I usually slam a plug in there to avoid having to take the whole shooting box out if the engine/loom has to come out, but from there seperate the earths off to the head while the loom shoots back into the cabin. Many ways to skin the cat I guess.

You can save space by spinning up the circuits, tightens the loom up a fair bit. Cheats concentric twist.

Sure is.

Yeah it should be fine, just highlighting they are known to be a kettle mate. Love the build.

TD42's are known as a kettle so make sure you do everything you can to keep them running cool. In my opinion 100 degrees is way too hot to run them at but worth a go and see what its like. There is plenty of info on how the thermostats work on the aussie 4wd forums Here's the gauges I ran, shit photo but you get the idea. They are 24v gauges from aliexpress and were about $25 each from memory. They come with a programmable warning light and outputs for fans/warning bells/relays. I bought one with red numbers for the EGT and green for the water temp. I ran a thermocouple in the exhaust manifold pre-turbo for EGT and another one in the thermostat housing for the water.

We had Acorns too and same thing, Ive been trying to remember a game that we used to play! One day it will click!

Looking great! I can recommend running a hi flow lower temp thermostat with these engines if you are not doing so already. My Safari ran at 80 degrees just about all the time with one and a triple row radiator. I can fully recommend the Auberins digital gauges too - I ran them for EGT and water temp.

Yes they do, pretty low amperage ability from memory

You love wiring

I've got both factory seats and will probably roll those for the wof. Pump up lumbar support is lush!

Forgot a photo, here's the inside in all its dusty shitness. Should clean up good though. Wont make it to OS drags but I'd rather get this together properly than thrash on it and have to do it again later.- 36 replies

Just set the limiter settings so they are really soft acting in the ecu you are using.

All good mate, hopefully he can help

You could give Robbie from RIPS an email too - if there's anyone that knows about RB's its him. He's good a pretty good guy and while he builds mega dolla RB30s he's usually super helpful to the average Joe.

Thats the plan if the paint is done in time!

Just a waiting game while the painting guy does stuff. I decided to take the side trim off so the guards needed a bit more work but are all in primer again now. Body is coming along very slowly. Front bumper is off to get fixed as theres a few cracks in it. Painting is boring so just one photo for now. In other news these arrived... finally. I run FA stuff in the EP and its pretty good, so thought Id have a stab at it for the AE too. Spenny, but hopefully worth it. Went with 8kg and 6kg and the shortest possible rear shocks. Will order some new bearings and maybe rotors sometime soon. No rush without the car here.- 36 replies

Exactly. There are cheaper sources again if you hunt around.
