  1. Get a small turbo, adapt it to the exhaust manifold. Blow through the factory carb, you can intercool a blow through if you want. I didn't. Electric fuel pump, I had mine mounted in the engine bay sucking from the tank. Adjustable fuel reg, rising rate probably better. I had the return from the reg Tee'd back into the inlet of the pump so I didn't have to run a return all the way to the tank. You will need to play with the jet and fuel pressure to get it running right, rich is good while setting it all up. Back the timing off too and then creep up on it. It's pretty easy, don't over complicate it just have a go. I only ran 6psi but it went really well, comparable or better than my efi engine which made 72kw at the wheels. I used it as my daily for over a year, blew a lot of exhaust manifold gaskets. Blew the head gasket at an autocross event because it was overheating and I didn't stop until the radiator tank exploded.
  2. Lol had a boost retard setup but it went better without it just detonating a bit haha.
  3. I used the factory 4k carb in a blow through setup with an adjustable fuel pressure reg, worked sweet.
  4. These things are awesome! A mate had one with a fair whack of power, it was nuts. Also it looks like Ronald McDonald spewed up on your engine
  5. What power did it make on the dyno?
  6. I used an accumulator and small fittings off each runner on my 4k that had 45mm itb's, using an old V5 Link, it ran sweet everywhere.
  7. What's left before you can get a vid up of it running with the turbo not the vac?
  8. haha this is awesome! With your injector in the inlet there wasn't the flame always going to end up in the outer space?
  9. Is the cooling system clean and working as well as it can at the moment? Have you flushed it out etc? Maybe could try a lower opening thermostat?
  10. Sweet will call them in the morning or go over. Thanks man
  11. so I need another 3.5:1 diff head, but I am thinking about throwing in the 4.8:1 I have here so I can come to trackday. Will give a top speed of about 135kph lol/waste of time??
  12. Stage 1- Stage 2- These are the first run through, broke the diff in the second. First time on gravel in 3 years, could not get over how little traction it had!. I'm sure it used to put the power down better, will look into a better diff setup.
  13. I am doing a two stage gravel rallysprint on sunday for anyone interested, it is located at the TECT all terrain park on Whataroa Road off the Rotorua to Tauranga direct rd. I cringe watching the incar in that video as I'm way too busy with the wheel lol Will be at Nats trackday if work doesn't get in the way, hopefully will know this week.
  14. haha thanks for posting that, it's cool to see it from the outside! Were you there Truenotch?
  15. Have been doing a few things getting ready for a gravel rally sprint on Sunday, finally put the cable and knob in for the brake bias and today with the help of a mate put together the coil overs.
  16. 2nd round of the Ngongotaha Hillclimb today, got closer to my record of 58.2 with a 59.4 but not close enough. Ended up 3rd overall and 1st 2wd. Here is a vid It just felt slippery as shit, as you can see in the video a lot of wheel work was going on. This is the view-
  17. They are on trademe at the moment so if it was a definite that they could be picked up I'd hit buy now. Would need them sooner than April so freighting could be the go, again if it was possible and not too much drama?
  18. Anyone able to pickup some seats for me in Palmy and bring to Rotorua? Or just pick them up and sort out freighting them? Will fix you up
  19. ^^^ It is full of lol but that project is worth signing up for! awesome, thanks for sharing.
