  1. its often a case of no port
  2. pull zorst off, stick head into port to check for carbon blockage
  3. have you tryed finding an rvr motor? would be a much better road take if you plan on turbonizing it (or even getting a factory turbo rvr engine) evo/rvr motors dont have a dizzy its a cam angle sensor which only just touched the fire wall but the factory water outlet it pretty usless and you'd be better off getting one made
  4. a cdi control box and a cleverly invent some form of pickup or steal stuff from another bike and make it fit
  5. simplicity and reliability? + wank factor
  6. oh wait what i miss read, all i saw was wrong coil convert to cdi and ditch shitty points?
  7. pretty sure you can jigger up these things http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbi ... 449921.htm
  8. you 'move' the fire wall with a large hammer
  9. measure thickness of coil wire and its length then google resistance calculators
  10. you guise all missed one potential issue italianitus, yes it can be spread between breeds and is fixable via 100kmh tow starting
  11. as does coke, vinegar, brown sauce etc
  12. mine were press fit too, i was too Scottish to buy starion arms so i made the lancer arms fit starion joints tbh its ideal just find a joint with the same diameter taper and bam the dirt is gone
  13. mash out old joint, arc weld some lead or tin over where the hole is and roughly chisel some holes to suit a more availible joint like what i are did
  14. its tricky to get the right length of heated area to make appropriate diameter bend/takes practice
  15. i tryed the smashing of sand and paper trick, i did get less crush and also got the bonus o having ribbs form on the inside radius ribbed for pleasure etc
  16. the bigger 38 to 49cc ones i played with rolled factory 8 and were happy to go upto 25 without making holes in shit i did once breily glance at a 25cc motor on a scooter that was rotary valve and was only just advanced may 1-2degress i always put that down to rotor valves being a cunt to start on a good day
  17. it doesn't been there fucked that up from memory its about 8' with the common offset keys taking it to 15' so with a bit of slotting of the coil posts and a flipped key you should be able to just get it on the advanced side of life de dum
  18. i was intending these be used to change the now ATDC ignition of the reversed engine to make sure errbody catches my drift/aids
  19. if you file them whats to stop shit moving? also they cost me around $2 each last time i got some (4 years ago)
  20. you will however need to fix the ignition timing (as im sure was mentioned ages ago) i doubt slotting the coils will be enough so may i suggest available for those little pit bikes so im sure they will fit your fine choice of motor
  21. What colour was the tape? The green stuff is designed not to be too sticky so it doesnt tear fresh paint or leave residue Whitish colour. Its ok tape but I dont think its that cheap for what it is, theres better stuff out there for same price or cheaper. 3m do 2 types of tape, decorating and automotive. the decorating stuff is very low tack designed not to pull cheap badly prepped wall paint off your house the automotive stuff costs even more and is designed to survive high temperatures and not leave glue everywhere and tbh is probably the best ive used
