Hi all. Seems that there is little interest in this due to most of the normal wgtn crew being in hamner this weekend. Grinter and I are gona go have a look at the hot rod show in Porirua, so both of us being from the J'vill region we're guna meet at the Johnsonville fire station at 11 (next to kfc) and head out from there. So if anybodys keen thats where we'll be. Prob just guna head to hot dog show, have a look about, maybe head out to Whitireia Park in Titahi bay for a cold one after..

After deciding that the old faithful 1200 wagon was way to far gone for me to attempt to save on my budget and skill level I decided to go pick up the next best thing, behold, the mighty ke26! Pick it up off a fellow oldschooler up in the 09 area, flew up, talked some shit, turned the key and drove back to wellington with zero dramas, so pretty much the best start you could wish for! Specs are that shes pretty much stock, will kinda. Has a big block 4k with a little head work, mild cam and Weber carb, which has around (at a guess) 10,000k on it from rebuild, 5 speed k50 box, 50mm blocks and lowered front springs with new shortened shocks. Shes no rocket ship but does go fairly well for a 4k. As it was when I got it.. Decided that I wasn't to keen on the 12's and white walls so decided to clean up some ssr star formula's I had in the garage. So out with a bunch of masking and a couple of tins of paint, a set of 165/50/14s and we're back in business. In the process also swaped it up from 4x110 to 4x114.3, so in went some ke30 front hubs and re-drilled rear axles.. Result Yea I know, need to lose another 40mm or so off height, but thats a story for another day...

Oh damn you Allan! Yea its that light blue one thats been on trademe for a wee while. Old fulla seems to give it a good review yet one of the guys over on nz datsun has had a look and reckons its a bit ruff, yet still a fuck ton better than my current one. Might just have to bit the bullet and head up for a look with a trailer just in case!

Hey chaps, Thinking of buying another Datsun 1200 that is in Auckland, looking for abit of help from one of you lovely lads to have a look over it for me being that I'm in Wellington. Another picture less update, not much to report.. Cut off front valance as it was some dumb fucked shit, ground out some rust around fuel filler door to prevent it spreading. Must get this blasted... Must buy new welder... Must happen soon.... P.s... Could a mod please add this this to the build thread list thingy thing, mainly so I can find it easier! Loves!

Haha trippy, if I am correct I have that set of ssr's sitting in my garage, remember buying them from trade me years ago and they were pictured on a silver ae86 and I'm dead sure they came from chch.. Ran them on my turbo ae85 for 6 months or so and are now gathering dust and waiting to go on my Datsun 1200 wagon.. Keep up the sweet work, mean gaggle of sweet whips!

Im with this guy! Keen as to walk/jog/run/sprint or some kind of rolling type wheelie machine that does max stunts all over this shit.

Bit of a boring picture less update.. Got rid of battery tray today, grinded that shit out and decided it would be a great idea to grind off the tip of my finger too (so thats why grinders have a guard on them?!?) Removed the last of the wiring, brake lines and fuel lines so now shell is 100% bare and ready for blasting. Down side to that is having zero dollars untill march due to being uber focused to being debt free in the new year, so from now untill then she will sit on the down low.. Also remove all sound deadening to inspect state of floor and tunnel. As to be predicted the floor is totally rooted on both sides, tunnel is mint though, but that doesn't help much as that will be fucking off to make way for a W series g box.. Next step is get it blasted in the new year to say get F to all rust and then concentrate on rust repairs. An being a little bit hopeful but the goal is to have panel work done and ready for bog/prime/paint by the end of next year.... Aghhh soooooo many rusts!
