When you build these custom expansion setups do you know how sensitive they are in terms to sizing and the dynamics of the motor in question? ie is any chamber a good thing or do they need to be tuned proper? They look cool for sure just wondering if it's possible to design something that sucks in terms of exhaust timing (or other extreme get lucky and have something that rips)...

  7. 4.56s will be awesome, were in my truck that also had H55F - motor was a fair bit revvier than your diesel but sounds like 4.1s ain't doing it for you so you obviously know what yer in for. Here's a couply pics of the bumpers I built for my lump, I removed the PTO as was a massive overhang and with the better approach angles found I barely needed a winch.
  8. Shit man BJs got stature, looks friggin good. You should build a badass front bumper for it, ditch the chrome for something minimalist that tucks up to fill the body lift gap.

Kinda lame update but first mod so thought Id better post The factory horn was farked so instead of buying a cheap plug and play replacement, used as an opportunity to install these puppies that my dad had been hording in his shed. They are off a 70's Nissan President, and were actually not as easy to install as you might think as pretty huge and wanted to leave a clear path around the rad for future intercooler and piping. In the end found a sweet spot though, whipped up a bracket. Installed (though not yet wired) Honk honk!

I can't remember who it was in chch, I do recall he was a GC though and he obviously enjoyed his job watching his ear to ear grin bouncing off the rev limiter during the speedo test Agree asking for a WOF is kinda dumb, especially if WOF guy doesn't pick stuff up. I'd prefer to do everything to a high level and go full disclosure with the cert guy for best insulation from law and subjective WOFs down the line. Would be annoying to be failing WOFs for something that could've been certed but never was

  21. Re wof pre certification, Christchurch dude asked me to do exactly that, though the two others I've done in the NI didn't ask for a WOF so I suspect it depends on the certifier
  22. Hey fellas, wondering if anyone can recommend a supplier for 2.5" and 3" 304 stainless tube and bends for exhaust building... Have bought a fair amount of stuff from Sinco and they have been good but at ~$45/m for 3" tube and ~$30 per 90 am wondering if there's a cheaper way to go Any ideas? Waikato based all the better, cher
