  2. Seeing as its another gx61, that could work if i chuck my plates and rego on it
  3. nah the guy is keeping the gearbox and its been pinkyed for no springs Cheers Sparkle, ill keep that in mind
  4. I have found a car in palmy but am not keen to tow it up with the grande. If some1 from hamilton or auckland is heading down to the swap meet with a towbar and they would they be willing to bring it back up, i can supply the trailor with gas money and some beers etc? Cheers ryan
  5. theres a guy in hamilton that i know that just a bellhousing made to match a 4g63 to a w58. You want me to look more into it for you?
  6. lol. I can drive to hamilton if some1 from there can give me a ride
  7. Keen for a ride from the town of auckland if possible, cant see the mk2/1geu lasting the trip
  8. Ok some small progress, got my mounts watercut then tacked together, just incase i need to move the engine forward a bit as ive read the rear turbo may hit my clutch master cylinder Also picked up an altezza torsen LSD thats already in a mz11 head. Ill probably take the LSD out and put it in the head thats in the car to keep the same ratio Im picking up the engine in 2 weeks from tauranga and i should have all the money i need to do all the major stuff 2 it so assuming nothing major happens (famous last words), it should be up and running asap (fingers crossed)
  9. specialy with a TRD lsd already set up in it
  10. that was a G series 1 and he ended up selling the whole subframe and diff for about $900 in the end, was a sweet buy!
  11. These engines dont have a diagnostic box if thats what you mean. I just toped up the oil with some cheap repco stuff about a week ago is it was low/empty. I only really drive it to work which is about half 50km zone, half motorway. Its a good 1 1/2hrs a day though.
  12. To be honest, i never pulled the new plugs out to check how fouled they were. Im just assuming they did as it dropped a cylinder and ran just the same as it did when the old plugs fouled up
  13. Man this piece of crap is starting to piss me off! Thursday morning it took forever to start, it turned over fine, just didnt want to start. Thought nothing of it as it was the coldest morning yet and just figured it was that. Thursday afternoon as i left work, it did the same. Friday morning it starts fine which i thought was sweet till i started driving, it sounded like it was running on 5 cylinders, you could smell how rich it was running and it was stalling whenever you stopped. So i turned around and came home. Today it was doing the same. I tried a spare AFM, made it worse. Temp sensor is all off 3 months old. I replaced all the spark plugs with new 1s, it ran fine for a minute and then which shit again as the plugs fell up. So whats wrong and how do i fix it?
  14. Dam, he said he was going to txt me with a price when he was ready to sell. can i ask how much you ruffly paid?
  15. Love it man, looks great on the mk2s. Did you get them off the guy with the mx41 thats on trade me?
  16. Well instead of paying off the 2jz, i thought i would try find a gearbox to chuck on the van before it left. So i brought this off yahoo for a pretty good price Its a W58 from a JZA80 supra so is alot newer and ive been told it has a stronger input then my old w55. And because is comes with a JZA80 driveshaft, flywheel, bellhousing, crossmember and remote shifter, i should be able to get most of my money back by selling it all bar the box. It also has a clutch which hopefully is good enough condition for me to use. Along with Spencers altezza F series diff head that ive brought, it should be able to hold the 2jzgte and my heavy foot................ i hope
  17. You need this http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/102024601 (sorry, that dosnt help much does it)
  18. so you just need them picked up? i live 5mins from there so if retep130 cant, i can
  19. i am also after some1 to waterjet some flat steel for me
  20. Thoughs wheels meke on it man
  21. good buy dude, it costed me about $700 to do my conversion but thats with a brand new clutch. You can experiance the real power of a 1geu with a manuel hahaha Is it me or does it look like the axles on that car has been shortened to fit that much dish because my mk2s arnt that wide and they stick out the guards more then that rim
