  1. Moving to new premises apparently (outdoors). The guy said they'll be getting new karts too.
  2. Were there many peeps who turned up to the Cock and Bull? I'll get along to one of the pub meets one day, but I've just got a bit much going on at the moment. So was it just me and Markku who had the compulsory kart swaps (x3)/shitty karts?
  3. Hmm, I hope the track is ready for the IRC meeting this weekend. I'll come along for a bit of fun once the Pro7 season is over.
  4. I person karting by themselves is creepy, 2 is a bit gay, but 3 is all good.
  5. In that case, I'm back in for karting. Time to munch some more fingers!
  6. Yeah, I think the Makohine Viaduct is it. You're right - no campground though. I thought I'd seen a spot to camp close by (not Vinegar Hill), but who knows. We're heading down to Wellington on Friday evening and I was thinking that we could have a brief stopover on our way down to break the trip up a bit.
  7. I spotted a pretty cool looking camp site on my way down to Feilding a few weeks ago, but I'm not sure of its exact location, or what it's called. I think it may have been a DOC site, and it was right beside the main highway, under a bridge perhaps. There was also a big viaduct looking thing in the background. Any ideas?
  8. Project thread: http://oldschool.co....rd-anglia-105e/ Hey Mac, that's a nice looking Anglia you've got there. Certainly an interesting choice for a 16 year old. What are your plans for it? Your thread is in the wrong section of the website at the moment, but I'm sure a moderator will move it to the User's Projects / Build Ups section soon. EDIT - Moved
  9. Karting + Classics Museum would be a cool way to finish the year. Garden display: https://www.facebook.com/ClassicsMuseum
  10. Oh damn, I wish I got a photo of that. I wouldn't mind some sort of rwd track hack to thrash around for a bit of practice. I want to be able to get sideways and do a bit of drifting without breaking this car.
  11. Yeah, I got a huge amount of track time over the weekend, so I went from being a first-timer with no clue about the braking points and corners, to feeling pretty confident about pushing reasonably hard. Modifying the brake/accelerator pedal is on my list of refinements to make before the next round in February. It's still 2 months away, but I'll have to get onto it fairly quickly as I'll be away for nearly half that time.
  12. Yep, you too Simon. Will catch up again hopefully at Oldschool Nats next year if I make it.
  13. Yep, I'm looking forward to it, although I'm a bit worried about the weather forecast. Not keen on driving a mobile sauna again. The car's loaded up and ready to go, and I'm leaving for Manfeild this evening. Now I've just got to concentrate on doing a full day's work.
  14. Twas a good meet. There were 6 of us in the karts, and I think we'll do something similar again soonish. I had to head straight home afterwards while everyone else went for beers though, as I have a lot of work to do (which I'm still doing ).
  15. Yep, nearly there. The car is getting a wheel alignment at the moment, and my replacement front bumper has just arrived. I've just got a couple of little refinements to make now, then I'm all set.
  16. So is karting definitely all go? Who's doing it, rather than spectating? Do we need to book it?
  17. /\/\/\ Yeah, I pretty much agree with what you said, Ed. Most, if not all sign writers should be able to help you out, but a lot of them aren't interested in the smaller jobs. I set up a sub-brand of my main business to cater for the small/one-off jobs that sign writers don't really like to do. I get all sorts of odd requests, and most people are happy to pay for the time/service if it's reasonable. I'd be happy to help you out, but it might be easier for you to deal with someone locally, as the most accurate way of reproducing them is to take detailed close up photos and lots of measurements.
  18. The ones from AnyMazz were $100 each, and the ones I got off Trade Me were $205 for a set of 4 with tyres. Went for a little drive in the car after work this arvo. Feels/sounds/smells good man.
  19. I'm getting the damaged ones repaired at my cost, and I picked up a set of 4 off Trade Me the other week too, so I've got 10 of them now. The 2 replacement ones came from Buck at AnyMazz spares, so there might be another pair there still?
