  1. Hey guys Pick at your collective brain if I may. I have noticed with my car (Sigma Wagon) that there is a flat spot between 3,000 and (roughly) 4,200rpm. It feels like as soon as it gets to 3,000 the rate of acceleration dies down and once it gets to (roughly) 4,200rpm its like vacuum secondaries open up and we're off again. The setup is almost entirely stock. Only aftermarket bits used are exhaust manifold, fuel pump (Bosch 910) and the factory fpr has been moved to a different location. Do we think that the issue im experiencing is fuel related? Cheers
  2. Hey guys Probably more a question for Fuel. Ive got a set of 450cc injectors from a VR4 and I got thinking, what would happen if I installed them on my Sigma (4G63 DOHC N/A). From what I gather N/A injectors are either 240cc or 275cc but haven't got a definite answer. I have no supporting mods so I assume nothing but a whole heap of unburnt fuel would be the outcome. Would it be worth trying? For shits and gigs atleast? Cheers Damien
  3. Why did I think that SL/E only came out V8?
  4. Sigma wagon shafts are slightly longer. One piece would be the go as I am unsure if the two piece would fit.
  5. Can only assume its the crossmember. Have you got a Lancer or Sigma crossmember to try?
  6. It seems I am very forgetful lately. Thank you very much bro, sadly for me it doesn't have what im after. Much appreciated! Shit, sorry Jono, forgot about that. Sweet man will pm you.
  7. Thanks KK Only if its no hassle. At this stage all I want to know is if it has the A/C stuff still (in the engine bay) and what colour the centre console/armrest thingee is. And maybe pricing
  8. Hey guys Just wondering if there was anyone that visits Foxton Wreckers often. There was a post in the "Left to rot" post - //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/26930-left-to-rot/page-45?hl=%2Bfoxton+%2Bwreckers#entry1212296 - made by Mitch.W There was this Starion Just wondering if this is still there and if so would someone be able to check a few things out for me. Thanks Damien
  9. Mine is slightly different to that. Probably not as long. Its probably the same AFM that's in your EX. I just searched trademe and it popped up. Its a K&N jobbie
  10. Yup sweet. Will have to be in the weekend when the suns out.
  11. Ive got a manual pedal box in the Sigma wagon im wrecking. No idea if it will bolt in tho.
  12. Had an OK day of skids. Didnt manage to improve on my PB in this car. Same time. Had a go on the skid pad. The 4G didnt like that! Anyway, pics Because im old, the lock diff is coming out.
  13. Oh yeah, and it looks like its gonna be ok tomorrow. Skids on
  14. So this is what happens when you leave your rottweiler unattended in the garage and you forget to wind the windows up in your car. Its a miracle the dog is still alive... I was so angry because id never be able to find another wagon seat, especially in this colour. Many months go by with me constantly searching the usual websites for parts till just recently I found the cream wagon on Turners damaged auctions. Long story short - I payed WAAAAAAY too much for a hideous back seat TADAH!
  15. Yeah thats the one. I linked that auction to my brother trying to get him to buy it back then. Didnt realise it was the same one till my brother pointed that out to me.
  16. Yeah, thats my next mission. The guard gap pisses me off. Ive got some spare struts now that I can hack up to make adjustable.
  17. So it seems that I attract rubbish Mitsubishis Sadly (to me at least) im stripping this one. The Sigma wagon market is pretty slim, but if anyone wants any parts let me know. Cheers
  18. Still for sale Please help me get back on terms with the Mrs - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=718421056
  19. Decided to fix the leaky steelie following Cletus' instructions. Took it to a tyre shop yesterday to remove the tyre. Found the little pin hole I put my air gun up to it to see if it would bubble up on the other side, which it did. Drilled the hole out a bit And put some Selleys Metal Cement in the hole Let it set overnight. Fitted the tyre up this morning and BOOM, no more leaky leaky Now to pray for good weather next Sunday
  20. Did the tube idea not work? Not a bad idea. Ill get the wheel stripped and see if the leak is obvious. If not might smear something like bead sealer over the area.
  21. Time to bring this thing out of hibernation. My wheels were looking very sad as my dog found it enjoyable to piss on them which made the average paint job I gave them a while ago flake off and start to rust. Decided to refurb them by having them sandblasted and powdercoated. I got the tyres stripped and rims dropped off to Malcolm at Spraywell Industries in East Tamaki - Recommended by Cletus and Threeonthetree. I didnt get any 'before' pics but here they are all done The old trim rings I had were all curbed and rusty. All four of them were different. Bought some new trim rings. Thanks Jarrod Started polishing the centre caps. Had a few to chose from. Ive just found that one of my rims are leaking where they have been widened. Sand blasting must have opened up a hole. Im just gonna get a tube put in to fix it. Took it for a hoon to work this week and runs so well. Took it for a WOF and passed. Im hoping to take it to the drags next sunday and see what it does. I just wanna pop some skids! Heres an over-processed photo. Need to give it a clean.
  22. If a car has been pink stickered and then gets deregistered, is the "pink sticker" status an issue when it comes to re-registering?
