  1. Would the above apply if fluid is not even coming out of the prop valve for the rear brakes? Cool mspaint pic I made:
  2. Ok i just tested something else first Felixx, maybe eliminating your test. I removed the hard line from the master cylinder to the rear brake valve and fluid came out. Removed the hardline from the rear brake valve that goes to the rear brakes and no fluid. So from that it seems the proportioning valve it fucked....
  3. Both rear have hard lines and both of them ain't getting shit. I'm sure front has hardlines too. Appears there is a proportioning valve on the firewall, don't know if that is causing a problem but i'm not impressed.
  4. I've posted about my brake problems in my Starlet. Just attempted to do a one man bleed, no fluid came out at all. Had my partner come out and brake why I turned hub and nothing. Not pressure at all. Wtf is up with this shit?
  5. I was just down at TWL getting something for work. They have U-bolts also. http://www.twlnz.co.nz/home Hit me up with the size you need and I can get staff discount for you.
  6. Ok awesome but not. I will buy the brake booster for $40 and fit it. Will just have to find vacuum I suppose..drill and tap a fitting from inlet manifold?
  7. Hrmmm, basically the issue that i'm having and I ask about adding a brake booster is that the brakes feel laggy. The guy who owned it before me said he bled the brakes twice and it still felt that way. It doesn't feel spongy, just need to put the foot down a bit further than would be expected.
  8. Ignore the dirty mess, has since been cleaned up.
  9. Odd how it doesn't have one isn't it. My last two starlets did. Its a 1983 Jap Import KP61. I'll get a pic in a min.
  10. Cheers Snoozin. I think I'll grab the one from the guy in Nelson as I can pick it up and it has a master cylinder; but if that falls through I'll grab your one. Are they a direct fit to a Starlet that didn't originally have one? Do you think there is much benifit to installing one?
  11. The old KP61 has no brake booster, there is one on trademe for sale http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =420503910 Would this fit my KP61, without massive modifcations?
  12. Same as mine: "hooked up with speaker wire to the battery & a toggle switch". When will muppets learn speaker wire is not designed for that purpose.
  13. Its had an aftermarket fan installed from what I can tell (no plug, just 2 wires). Can I just wire this into the female side of the wiring for the elctro fan and it will be all good?
  14. Whats up everyone!? Swapped my L300 for a KP61 Starlet. It has an electric fan that isn't hooked up, do these motors have a thermo switch that I could wire the fan to somehow? Cheers
  15. I'm more clued up on Nissan and Honda EFI motors but in my experience the symptons you describe often point to a dirty/blocked or faulty idle control valve/IACV valve.
  16. Heh yeh, Take a break but don't put on the brakes.
  17. evo10 brakes When it was certified, shouldn't the certifier should have pointed out that a brake upgrade would be necessary before certing it? Then that way investigations on what brakes would work/fit would begin. Or has it not been certed yet and that why you are asking? I seem to recall that 314mm Pajero discs fit the front, but I don't know what callipers But then again, it would be a good idea to upgrade the booster to a larger size wouldnt it?
  18. Go get some vinyl then, spray it with adhesive and stick it on!
  19. I didn't want to destroy my gearbox again plus too many haters in Nelson. See you there with the S15
  20. the crx with b16a will dick on you Billy

  22. I just read that entire thread regarding the Cressida... Easy power, good skills.
  23. Purchased a replacement dizzy from a wreckers as thought the CAS might be stuffed, bloody dizzy had a rounder plug on it and not square. I don't know if they will refund it or not....spose I can only try I've learnt: Nissan-Mitsubshi RB dizzy has a rectangular plug Nissan-Hitachi RB dizzy has a rounded corner rectangular plug. Anyway I decided I'd give a bunch of plugs a squirt with contact cleaner, waited 30mins or so and plugged them back in. I turned the key and the fuel pump primed! Had #1 Sparkplug out and it was sparking! I think I need to remove all spark plugs and let any possible flooding of the fuel vap away. I also need to re align the dizzy as I think its a tooth off. But good news it I think its going to start!
  24. enough jibba jabber, compression test
