  1. Remember its 100mm to structure, ie not exhaust iirc
  2. Should buy it and sell at $30 per 500 mls. Market it"as good as por15 for half the price" Might get some and try it on the rolla. Problem is if I fuck it up its gunna be and epic mish to get it off right
  3. Tis truely epic jetty, Grandad was from there. Other Grandad was from down the road at Tolaga Bay, so there must be some whiteys there
  4. From the trademe auctions thread: $68 for 20L (iirc) Datasheet: http://www.sealtec.co.nz/anytime/pdf_files/anytime461e7132a053fp314.pdf Would this stuff be suitable for use on my landrover (full rebuild, galv'd chassis) Or would por15 be better? How much would I be looking at for por15 (20L) Would it be worthwhile using this on othercars as well? (Also have Corolla, Holden Premier projects) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Business-farming-industry/Other/auction-195561164.htm
  5. Whats the story, can you park up and crash in your car sat night? If you are local do you need to pay twice if you wanna go back on sunday? Will be there regardless
  6. get on toyspeed.org.nz then get prices. RRP is ftl
  7. Oh sweet cheers for the info, will check out the exhaust when I get down there again. And BTW cheers in advance for details on that HZ lip
  8. OK so while TGB might not be, I am pretty certain it is a 6.2l chev diesel v8. The 6.5's had the black valve covers, and this one is mor elikely than not and older engine. Examples can be seen in these trademe auctions: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=178039784 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=187406200 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Chevrolet/Silverado/auction-187818188.htm
  9. Yeah agree with kyteler there. While a p76 would be nice, It looks to similar to the chev diesel pic to rule it out. The oil lines, hoist bracket and oil filler look spot on. Went on youtube and looked at some vids on these chev v8s, sound tough as!
  10. Haha, mean paint erm, photoshop skills
  11. oh wicked, cheers dude, I gave away some interior parts to this guy who bought an fxgt bumper off me yesterday, made his day. Karma (sp?) help someone and someone will help you, for sure
  12. Would be keen as to suss something out. Otherwise I'll check trademe for used mags
  13. Exactly what I was looking at, if you zoom right in you can almost see another branch of the inlet manifold. The block (if its there on the left) appears to have surface rust as opposed to oil/grime, giving the appearance its not there. trying to find a left hand pic of the chev v8 diesel but its highly likely that the bank of cylinders are offset behind the alternator. Comparing the right hand side to that pic of the 6.5 diesel, they are scarily similar. Oil lines, oil feed, valve cover etc
  14. Yeah def not! Have heard they are like a meccano set but extreme! Yeah seen a few land rover owner mags, but at 20 odd bucks, I decided not to make a habit of buying them!
  15. Cheers boss! Awesome step by step there, don't spose you have some key websites besides that one that I should browse? I'm pretty sure I saw the bulkhead then in one of the pics, looked painted and tidy I think. Fuck I am gutted I wasnt there when the missus opened this container. Its the same one that had the maybe v8 in it too. Should have opened it back up when I got there!
  16. Yeah asked the missus last night, said she only counted the right hand bank, was too much crap on top of it for her to move. The more I look at the pic though the more I can make out laft hand bank in there. Shit if it is a diesel V8 how much is that sucker going to weigh? reckon it would still be sweet in a SWB landie? The weight distribution might be a bit off
  17. Could well be, if I had been there when this container was opened I would have been all over it, but yeah, almost want to go back down and check it out just to be sure now.
  18. No haven't seen in person for this, just the photo, its all down in palmy, totally assumed v8 because of the slant, but zooming in you may well be right, not definate that there is a left hand vee, zooming right in it looks like another rocker cover but maybe not
  19. Diesel didn't even enter my mind tbh Good idea on the plugs, will check it out Might have to put it on trademe and say its a hemi
  20. Well I checked out some rover and holden v8's and it doesnt look like any of them so now I am stumped. Will have to wait till I check it out again and look for any casts of markings.
  21. Whats that thing here that sticks up, is that the coolant filler? looks like the water hose attaches to it? i.e. not a dissy so I guess its a GM motor?
  22. Got heaps of landie and holden parts, trying to figure out which goes with which. Any idea what this gearbox is off, I had assumed it was the 1978 Holden Premier but maybe not? This is the V8 thats sitting there, anyone know if its a GM/Holden or Rover one by looking at that? Chur
