  1. Good idea. One strange thing is that on the PCB and housing there are two LED's side by side. One only goes if there is a battery fault- that looks like a normal LED. The LED that I need to measure doesn't look like a normal LED and I just cant figure out why. Its round but has a flat top on it rather than a dome. Real weird. I think I'll just give it a hoon and see what happens when tapping direct to it. If not then use a light sensor... that would work well if I stick the sensor inside the case pointing at that LED. Cheers,
  2. Oh absolutely could, im just confused as to why its acting that way. Have never seen something so sensitive (except maybe the inputs on an arduino itself)
  3. Yup key issue. We had that too. No need to go yo holden and spend $$$$$$. I think it was about $120 to get a replacement fitted to key and then programmed to suit car using one of those in-mall key cutters. What i can say is GET IT FIXED... Because it stops being intermittent and then ya stuck lol
  4. Dewalt battery charger. 150 to 200 bucks to buy outside of a kit but has 1% of the functionality of my cheap multifunction Ali express charger. The main thing i miss is a buzzer to say it's finished- i charge quite a few packs at night so it would be nice. Currently an LED flashes when charging and lights solid when complete. I planned to use simple switch debounce code and arduino to sound a buzzer when the led stops flashing. I stripped charger and wanted to check voltage of led during the charge cycle..but even touching one multimeter probe to one of the LED solder pads upsets its flash cycle- and at that stage i decided to re-assemble before i broke something. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? Must be extremely sensitive circuitry!!
  5. Hey man. This coming weekend i have a bd party for a mate, lunch for in laws bd, a shed to build, tractor to assemble, and new motor to make fit into wb
  6. About a 7mm home in the piston and quite a few rough spots and pitting over the piston. Last time i had the head off it looked great in there, dumb. Thinking now of fitting a compact single cylinder 200(ish) water cooled engine. These are physically tiny as no cooling fins so could be fitted without looking silly as fuck... And iv got a better chance of making it to cold kiwi next year if its not full throttle the whole time
  7. I vote modifying the standard swingarm.. Just move the sprocket out on a spacer and move that one side of the swingarm out to suit. Nobody will really notice and it will look better than that cast wheel
  8. whats the white thing in the background? Crane boom? Bridge?
  9. Yup stones. My bike didnt make it there either but still a great weekend
  10. I got soooo drunk there on Fri. Holy fuck, that ginger wine stuff.. Jesus
  11. I think i have a new fav os bike build!!!!!!! Supercheap and AE both sell solid state flasher relays which work with LED indicators. They are good even without led lamps because they make the slow flashing at idle problem lots better. I do think your headlight is too high and vote flipping those brackets (I'm also not a good judge of style. )
  12. O yeah great idea let's try get the mb to cold kiwi. Nek minnit.
  13. Right so this thing is going to (im going optimistic here) get me from hamilton to waiuru for the cold kiwi. Leaving tomorrow morning. In preparation it got some tlc..most of them things that id never bothered to do (or check) .Some expensive t2 oil (iv had it running on chainsaw oil and outboard boat oil for some time lol), new trans fluid, chain lube, some front indicators, a pannier box thing (got a pair of them for 50$ from a bike wrecker) and the other side got a steel rack to hold my tent, sleeping bag and bed roll. Of course i left this until the last minute so took today off work, slept in, then finished things about an hr ago. Pics fully loaded tomorrow, should be a laugh. Also, got some ear plugs so that i can hear people talking once we arrive. Oh and look at my budget power supply for charging phone. Edit. Yes its ugly as fuck.. but functional. Thats all that matters, right???????!!??!?!
  14. Those split rims are amazing. Shows how much thought Vespa put into making something peoperly usable.
  15. what do you think these tires will be like on the road? is it possible that i'll now be able to keep up round corners?
  16. A pair of molds to make a pair of grille inserts. Needs to be mdf. I'll pm you sometime in the future
  17. Hi mate. What is the cut area size? I have a project im happy to pay you (both of you) to complete for me. All the drawings and modelling are done, just need someone with a cnc router
  18. That new wheel is real nice. That hose is sad, awroflow is supposed to be a decent brand- imagine if any cara had oem hose that failed that bad that quick!!
  19. Ran out of time but got some stain on this. Im really enjoying this wood stuff!!
  20. I don't see why not!! Just consider where the dash shell will attach to the car- i added a flange to mine for this. You will no doubt churn out something amazing!
  21. So i thought about this way too much. My floor is fixed but at the right height so that i can open the door, park the wheelbarrow under the opening and scrape the contents straight into the barrow so it can be taken to compost or garden whatever. Made nesting box today. Sits just inside big door(so back of nest boxes are closed in when door is shut) room so we can drag old bedding out under it with a rake type tool, or can lift whole nesting box out and turn upside down into the barrow to clean/ empty it fast. Also.. i gave it a flat top. Videos said to have an angled top so they cant sit up there and make poose. But i dont care! If they like it up there and want to cuddle up high then good on them. Also in photo is my circular saw guide thing/square. Best thing iv made for the saw, omg. Just line up the right hand side edge to the cut line and use the left edge to guide the skillsaw. Cuts perfect square and accurate to the line every time. So good.
  22. Argh damn i like this thing. Glad it started so easily for you!!
