  1. Unfortunately the scafoid bone makes a terrible sacrificial link. It's a very shit bone to heal and can have some terrible consequences. Last time I was in a cast for 16 weeks. Nightmare. I don't agree with those guys about transferring the damage, I have delicate lady wrists that I reckon are just piss weak.
  2. So fuckin basic it hurts. Just got too excited. In other news, the bike fuckin boogies in softer ground with Heaps of traction.
  3. Never even considered wrist braces! Don't be like Nathan
  4. I been playing on the 525 every night round the farm and Theres an awesome play area for people better than me... I didn't fully understand what was over a rampy jump thing and landed nose first into a small ditch/bank. Stopped very abruptly, got burns on inside of knees from sliding forward on radiator shrouds lol and pretty bruised chest area from smashing into the un padded stem and bars
  5. Woooow, long time. Looking forward to moving this to new shed and getting stuck into the rest of the floor/chassis repairs. She gets put on a trailer this Wednesday, many excite!
  6. Does 2k fuck up your weld though? Coz I use crc zinc spray and it's like welding clean steel
  7. Also jumping on the bandwagon here- rust converters are shit. I've had panel beaters tell me this, and I have seen it myself. Its not uncommon for light rust to form UNDER the shitty rust converter finish.. its just plain terrible stuff. Probably fine to paint it over 99% mechanically de-rusted surfaces to treat any shallow pitting, then sand it all off again before epoxy, but otherwise no. The problem is trying to explain to people that its simply not a magical wonder fix and the labels on the bottle are a lie. Edit. Everyone can do the test themselves. Take a piece of steel with fairly light surface rust. Paint it with rust converter. Let cure. Scratch off the converter with a knife or flat head screw driver. Under the purply black coating is plain old normal ginger rust every time. it does not penetrate like people will have you believe.
  8. Amazing. Is it going to banana when removed off the plug?
  9. This is getting more and more incredible!how would they have made rails in the factory? Surely they wouldn't have had access to a press large enough to do it in a few stamps like they do these days?
  10. Rather than a servo, there are 12v garage door style remotes and receivers that would work well. I have one sitting around I think, pm me your address
  11. Wow 250 for nos reflectors seems like a bargain now. Maybe inflation? Or I'm not as broke as I was?
  12. Why would temps be high? Isn't it rated for 300deg c? Inlets and outlets easy, could simply lay up a thicker pad of material and drill /tap for screw in nipples.
  13. Damn that's a great idea (composite overflow) I need a weird shape one for the bike, why didn't I think of that ffs. I wouldn't bother with that plastic but that's just me. Foam works great, easy to shape and you can dissolve it out later on. Plus it's cheap and accessible
  14. Unbelievably cool. Might want to extend the load cell bracket so that it acts as a stop if the load cell or linkage fail to restrain things.
  15. You could buy a cheap Chinese w2a intercooler and run a coolant line through the wet side, then feed the air side by a naca duct. /hot air balloons etc.
  16. Surely that spare 200cc motor is going into the gn!!??
  17. @Roman is really good at cfd stuff and also graphs. Dave plz help.
  18. Doesn't really mean there is a problem or fault. The safari has an engine driven fan that runs 100% of the time, and it's a grunter, maybe that's just what it needs?.
