so the crosmember and mounts are now dun,took a bit longer than i thought as im doing it all outside and the wether hasnt been that great.had it cheecked out for cert today also and the guy seems prity happy so far,next thing to do is bild me a sump and start on the turbo manifold oh and just coz

wish i never sold it/them,the cars been sitting in some guys shed for over two years minis wheels and now de-reg also

mean thanks guys,vee mount would be nice but no room at all for that,the engine still has to come down a bit more at the front which will leav me with even less room.i was told today that some rotarys had a smaller water pump? will try looking into this but if i can move the coolers closer together that should give me enuf room. cheers

im not sure about the engine mounts,i was more woryed about the plywood sump myself

i remember reading some were years ago that there should be some thing like 25mm between your intercooler and radiator to prevent heat soak or create turbulance or some crap,can any one spread some light on this please? i have tryed to do this but am kinda running out of room, i figer as long as they are not touching each other they should be sweet but any advise any one could give me on this would be great,cheers.

could make it the week befor maybe? they have the timing sorted at those go carts now so whos keen to try them out one night?

tadar!!! so it fits... well kinda,its a bit tight becouse of how i want to mount my intercooler/radiator ect but im sure il work some thing out, big thanks to bunnings for the bungee cords and my next door neighbours fence for the custom wooden engine mounts churrr

so i got home from the pub at about 6 this morning and couldnt sleep so thought ild do this also had to cheeck if my intercooler ive started makeing would fit,still needs a bit of triming on the tanks but im happy with it so far next thing to do is nock the mounts off the cross member and see were the engine is going to sit

cheers guys,the wheels are just standard mini rims that have been widened to 6 or 6,1/2" i think but they have a really weird tyre on them, they have 130/430-10 for race use only writin on the the sides so stuft if i know what kinda profile they are or anything. once the motors back in it ill see how it sits and weather or not i need to lower it any more,im prity sure it still has the high-lo's in it from my turbo one so its a peace of piss to do. hell yea! its got a few coats off some cheep and nasty clear coat on it so hopefully that stands up to the weather ok, was thinking about maybe striping the wheels back to metal as well but then that might be a bit to much.

cheers guys, the visors been on there for years it duznt fit to good coz i took it off a falcoon,had to cut about 3" off each end and then try to bend it round to fit agin but i like it.not many people pick up on the pedo bear,thats probibly a good thing though. also,got freash wof today so will get stuck in to it....... when i get around to it

so all going to plan should be burgerfuel meet tomorrow,wof on Friday and engine out on Monday? i bought an oil cooler the other day its all nice and shiny,should look a bit better once ive painted it semi gloss black. dam thing cost more than the radiator! also have found a drive shaft yoke and rx2 dash with rev counter. i bought some rx2 hub caps last year and they finally turned up yesterday.i think they look prity sweet now i just need two more for the other side so if any one knows of any???

so yuh havint really done stuff all with this as of late,its all back to beer metal and ive got the new sills but thought i mite as well do the floor as well so am now waiting for one of them. got bored the other day and put some paint on some wheels,was thinking black would look better but now im not so sure opinions?

oh only just realized that the drags are on sunday,in that case im keen so il try and sus something out. is there safe parking or are we allowed to park in the pits?

take the door lock out and take it into a locksmith and they can cut you some new keys to suit

ive always liked the mb splits or better yet the force racing rims but yea prity $$$ thats why i started looking at golf cart wheels, a set of 10x7,10x8 are about $200us or $350us with tyres but as yet i have not been able to find any in nz
