yea i just suck with computers so have to get tank to add some pics ive got prity much everything i need now gerbox,clutch,flywheel even found a hilux diff but mite see how the standard one goes first.i had a knee reconstrution about three weeks back so carnt realy do much at the moment,have been getting my little sister(thanx bro ) to drive me round to pick bits up though,got my intercooler end tanks folded up getting all my manifold flanges cut out, bought some of these gauges http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listin ... er=2046498 and heaps of other little bits that i hope i need i go back to see my sergin in three more weeks so fingers crossed i can start trying to walk again after that so i can get stuck back into it and hopfully have it ready by new years

i wont to get my exhaust hpc coated but i like the look of anoiseing for like intercooler pipes and stuff,plus i carnt drive at the moment so i dont think my little sisters to keen to run me upto auckland and back just to drop off a few parts every few days

thats how it was done at all the paint shops ive worked in,most of the cars were just dealer crap and we did do the odd 2k one but that was mostly only for doing whole cars eg the the full white respays on all the hiace vans we used to do. 1k base coat with 2k clear would be the easyst way you just have to make shore you prep it better than if you were spraying strate 2k becouse you get more sink back.

sweet thanx guys. i was thinking of getting some stuff anodised becouse i have herd it would be more resistant to heat than just painting it.can anyone tell me if this is true?

sweet thanx,so do you think i could have this done to a inlet manifold? would there be any way to stop the anodiseing from going inside the manifold?

did any cars come out with 14 or 15 inch steel rims in 4x110/mazda stud? rwd offset would be best but just want to know if there is such thing. cheers guys

hey, does any one know how they anodise stuff? is it the same kind of thing as chroming were they dip stuff in a big tank? can you anodise cast aluminium or can it only be done to clean smooth stuff like bullit aluminium? and lastly is there any one in hamilton that does this? any help with this would be grate,cheers guys

clean it up with some prepsoul (you should be abil to get some of this from the body shop at tec if you ask nicely) and then give it a qwik polish,should come up mint like it was never even there.

yea i think thats fine,im doing the same thing so asked my cert guy a few weeks back about the same thing,he said as long as its atached every 16cm.........or was that 16inch? he's old and into american stuff so it must be inchs

shit yes, you taking the mazda to kumeu? hope so,i got gearbox and all the bits i need know but got my leg in a brace for another mounth after a knee reconstruction so thats slowing me down a bit right now usually go up early with dad to go to the swap meet

only one way to find out hopefully the tyres will be the weakist part and il just keep replacing them, eventully il be putting a hilux diff in but will see how the stock one goes to start with

to start with i just want to put it in and see what happens,the motors only got 40'000ks on it so hopefully it will last a little wile. a bit later down the track im planing on pulling it out again and giving it a bit of a tickle up.

oops that sounds kinda harsh, sory bro just not my thing yea bro thats the plan. been out spending more money today, got a masterpower t64 turbo a microtech lt10s with coil packs and a tial 60mm wastegate. i think all ive got left to go now is gearbox/fly wheel and clutch set up and then i can start putting sum stuff together

i used jenner cargo to bring it over. shipping was $2150+gst but it was prity dirty when we dropt it off at the warf so i got charged an extra $400 to have it steam cleaned so all up it came to $2964.44. call jason at jenners and hel tell you exactly whats involved,he was realy helpfull sorted out my importing lisence and every thing, all i had to do was drop the car off and then pick it up when it arived. his number is 09 254 4005 went to the mount to have a look at batty yesterday but could not get ahold of the guy once over there, will keep trying and yea will let you know what the interior is like when i see it
