I'm fairly time poor at the moment, but if the other guys can't help you, I will try. Any idea what area its in?
Located in Hurworth.
Historically famous for its cheeses before most of the village buildings were destroyed in the First Taranaki War of 1860

Have been tasked with finding a car for brother/sister in law. Have found one that ticks the boxes in New Plymouth and was hoping someone could go have a quick gander before I make the trek. Don't need to be a mechanic, just a general once over to make sure it is what it says it is and nothing that jumps out. It appears to have full service history etc. so shouldn't be a lemon. If you're happy to take it for a drive and press all the buttons that would be grand.
No pressure, but wink wink nudge nudge @fletch @Bistro @anglia4
I promise I won't blame you if it turns out to be a POS later on.

Can you press it in? Brace against something and use a jack/something to press it in?

It's worse than the toilet paper pandemic. That person wants one and is buying one so I better go buy one as well and tell everyone else to buy one because people are buying them.

Went with Raptor branded bed liner from Repco, only sprayed the primer so far but seems all good.
Keen to hear results. Have a ute deck I want to spray with a liner product.

I have plenty of memories of heading out and about on the old mans Tasman 20. He's since replaced it with a Gazelle (originally 24ft but has had a flat extension added off the transom so is actually 26ft). No race machines by any stretch but still fund getting around on them.

Put a timing light on it and check timing?

What a dweeb. You and your exhaust issues.

Ohh, that could potentially be a cause.
Something has definitely happened, as it was fine an now its not!
Its easy enough to pull the heads, so should probably do that just to see what's happening and rule that out. Give me a chance to replace rocker gaskets at the same time as they're leaking.
Will check pushrod adjustments too. Make sure its not holding a valve open. Though I suspect if this were the case, it wouldn't start and idle so well.Broken valve spring would allow it to run at low rpm, but not be able to close at higher.... hmm. Could be onto something.
What dramas.
Moral of the story, stop being a biatch and trying to quieten down exhaust.
