Cheers Escorta. Gaz Mike and I pulled the pinto out of the sierra last nite so now just trying to get the sump sorted to put that engine in.

Cheers man. Got Gaz back in Welly as my sidekick now so things should come along a bit faster/stuff will start going wrong which seems to always be the case when we are working on shit together.

Rolled her outside to have a look at the paint in the sunlight ... Still needs lowerage on the front, no motor doesnt help, will sort out ride height once the motor is in. So yeah at the moment i am trying to save up a few coins to have the windows re installed. Have ordered some new Chrome window locking strips that should arrive soon. Engine install time

On the interior side, the door cards have been painted black with vinal paint and the rear parcel tray has been lined with a black material which has come up well i just hope it doesnt fade in the sun bit of an afterthought. Everything still needs a good clean Am curently working on getting the front seats fitted, they are a bit of a tight fit but should be good

Battery line run as it is being re located to the boot. Iv got a plastic cover that still needs to be installed to cover the points.

Someone PM'ed me how I fitted my radiator but I accidentally deleted the email and im not sure who it was oops, so thought I would just post in project thread. Welded new tabs to the sides of the radiator in order to mount it slightly higher giving easier access to fitting the bottom hose. Electric fan from a 2002 Audi at pick a part Hope this setup works ok will find out soon I guess.

Wat things are on at the mt over NY's? Dont know the area to well at all, whats there to do up those ways? Gaz and I will be up there with some fellas from uni, havn't made any plans yet will see on the day i guess.

Just had a look at ya project thread and it looks like you have an auto choke, so i would say just plumb it in the same as the way gaz has on his cortina (pic in his project tread).

I donth think it would matters which way around they go? From memory the hooses pass through a part on the carb if they have an auto choke?

Cheers guys, am stocked with how its come out. Na never done anything like this before. My other car is a riced out gay suby so all thins OS stuff is new to me. Have made SO many mistakes that i have probably made every mistake possable but most of them are fixable just a matter of patience to fix them which was running extremly thin by the end. Chris

Finally had a free weekend to put in a full days work on the car, got the paint finished and have buffed half the car. Hannah helping remove the dust (Engine bay is painted the same colour but dust is all over it) Its hard to get a picture of the paint colour due to it being in the shed with bad lighting and my crap camera/skills. This final picture is probably closer to what the colour looks like, changes in different lighting i guess. A big thank you to UncleJake for helping out, all the advice improved the quality ten fold.

Sorry for late reply have been up north for another 21st seems to be the season for them. Ok cool that sounds good, i will have a big nite tonite on getting the car fully ready for paint tomoro or the day after just when ever suits you. I basicly just need to patch up a few spots where i have sanded through the primer, then re wet and dry the body then just clean up the shed of dust etc. Should only need the equipment for the time it takes to paint the body so 4 odd hours. Hey boe, hows the OE going? Just been trying to smoke the body prep over really, have painted the sub frame, struts, stearing rack etc with enamal black and they are all ready to go back together just need to find the rubbers that go between the stearing rack and the brackets, cant remember if there where any or not but looks like there needs to be some? Also painted AP calipers and real drums with black heat resistant paint. Mean will have to work out how to use Ebay and have a looks e Chris

UncleJake had a good idea last night of putting some black stripe decals on the esky, thought it would look kind of cool against the dark grey, will see when the paints done, could be good for hiding some imperfections

Yeah that would be awsome because to be honest im not 100% confident in what i am doing and it would be mean to get a finnish half as good as any of your cars have:D. Yup still keen if thats ok with you dont think dunky's gun was quite up to scratch for the job guess you will be able to give me advise when ya see it. Can work it around when suits you.
